Yes, but by most programmers standards, hacking is okay. It is only when hackers become crackers that you run into so many problems problems. When you hack you usually remain annonomays and show the security holes to the system admin to be fixed. Where as when you are cracking, you are hacking to cause damage of somesort, which can include stealing data. This is frowned apon most hackers, and it is what gives hackers a bad name.
