I wouldn't have music playing in the background because it eats up bandwidth. If you want to create a music player, you can do it in flash and it can be controlled with stop, play, pause buttons and you can have it so that the visitor can change to the song that they want to listen to.

Not only that, but it pisses everyone off. If you've got so much as a midi looping through your geocities website, I'll exit right out.

I usually do too because it's annoying as hell and the way that it loops is terrible. You also legally can't put music (if it's anything but a midi) on your site either even if it's in a media player because of copyright issues (unless you ask permission).

Mr. Wilsdon, the president of the Recording Industry of America is on the line
Thank you, Coulette. I'll talk to him after I've finished parenting my wonderful son, Taylor.

Nope! I can't do it because I don't know how. Ask in the flash forum or you can go to http://www.flamplayer.com and download theirs and put it on your site if you have php & mysql.

Most free servers don't give you php or mysql so if you want it, you must buy a domain and hosting.

Alot of people will offer you free hosting in exchange for ads on your site. I know that www.flashindustries.com do it but you need a certian amount of forum posts.
<shameless ad> I myself do it (www.dannyisonfire.com/services.php - bottom service) in exchange for a banner or google ad from my site on yours. Contact me if your intrested.
