what's a collision checker besides hit test that give the action for when 2 objects hit each other, NOT jsut their bounding boxes? i need help!

Therefore, hitTest does not suck: you suck for dissing hitTest (and for not knowing how to press F1 with hitTest highlighted..)

you can only test a point to the content of a clip (using the code electricfreak posted) you cant test the content of 2 clips against each other (shapeflag).

You are a n00b for asking a stupid question. What exactly is wrong with hitTest, it is fine and it is what all of us gamemakers here use to detect collision. I don't know anything else, hitTest works fine... noob
