on some useres profile, it tells of there batting average...how do you get that? Or was it just a past event?

You will get your own batting average after you have submitted at least three flash submissions.

Batting averages can be counted as when someone has uploaded at least 3 flash movies/games into the portal. There is a list of those with top batting averages here.
