Depredation, I'm working on it. It's actually going to be my only submission so I 'm doing the best that I can. I might give everyone a sneak peak later this week.

Hey you can get it at the link below. Just download the Preloader on that page. You cant get the actual font but you can get vector of the NG tank and the newgrounds text. Hope this helped.

Oh and sorry for the double post... There are lots of great entries. I'm just curious though, a lot of the links dont work, is it me or did the authors remove them... I'm using Firefox but quite a few of the links returned "page cannot be found". If it's image shack, I'll just have to host my own. Any ideas to the problem?

Firefox doesn't let me play flash sometimes and it blocks a few pages. Try going to the on IE.

Yes and no. When the wheel gets to a certian postition you can see the background, just make the wheel better.

I would make a colour wheel for mx, but i can't move mc's from 8 to mx, sorry.

When the circle has fully roated and the tank has expanded to its full, in the top right of the .swf you can see a patch of white(look at the example you posted).
Hope that cleared things up.

you dont have to copy symbols, just change the export settings

Exporting is for the .swf, not the .fla file.

Lots of NG Pics!

Well here is what I've been up to the past week. The begining animation is about 35 seconds long and then the movie launches a random screensaver. Right now I only have 3 and they are not finished but I hope to have ten nice ones once I'm done. You'll notice numbers when the actuall screen saver is launched...they are ther just for me to make sure the actionscript is working correctly, they will be removed for the final version. Please give me feedback.

Oh and Hoeloe, sorry I'd convert it for you but I'm in the same boat. I only have Flash MX v6! Not even 2004 ! I'll be buying studio 8 soon, cant wait.

That is fucking amazing. I love it. A couple of things though.
On the intro when the text appears it comes up as Times New Roman, you need to use a more global font e.g. tahoma, arial.
Two, can you export each of your screensavers seperatley and show us them because it takes a while tog et to teh random bit.
And finally on the screensaver when you go inside picos mouth, it pauses for a second while the loop resets.
If you could fix those things you would have a pw3nge screensaver.

Thank you, I just fixed the text. Originally the font was sydnie like the opening title which is broke apart so you can see it. I used action script for the typwriter effect so I couldn't break it apart. I changed it to arial though and it still looks good on my end.

The next time I send an update link I'll include controls to just skip the intro and go straight to the screen savers. I'll take the controls out for the final version. The three screen savers that are on it now are all just being worked on and they all need tweaking so I dont want to post a bunch of separate savers that still need work.

Good 'ol Pico. I spent the morning on that screensaver. It's the first time I've attempted to do a "zooming loop" It has proven to be pretty tough. I cant get the speed to be fluid but I'll try to keep it from coming to a stop before it loops.

So stay tuned for updates!

Thanks for the advice. By the way I have sent my swf file to your email.

Here is the latest update on mine. I added a menu button at the top to navigate to the screensavers so you dont have to wait through the animation each time. That menu WILL NOT be there in the final version. I also changed the screen text to Arial so that it would look better on all computers...well most. Finally, I smoothed the Pico sceensaver so that its a little harder to see the loop, although not perfect yet, it's still giving me a tough time. If you watch the animation all the way through it will randomly select a screensaver from the three I have so far. I hope to have 10 by the end of the week.

I'm ok with that. The only problem we might run into is filesize and the fact that I'm working in Flash MX version 6 so even if you export to a lower version in 8 I can't read it. Right now as it sits my movie is 166kb. I guess we will see how everyone else feels about it.

Sorry, but tom wanted 5 different, separete screensavers. Plus the filesize would be enourmous.
