OK...so...the way I put music into my flash is just import the mp3 into my library and then put it on a keyframe...however...when I upload the files to newgrounds (or even just watch the flash with Ctrl+Alt+Enter) the sound quality is very low and muffly...

does anyone know any solution to this

You are able to compromize the file size and apparently that's what you've done. Check out the sound file in your library in the .fla document and turn up the quality.
