I dont think that it's right to hate americans. I think that we all have a right to hate their leader, his cabinet and the project for the new american century but most of the people themselves are okay.

I am american. When exactly have I ever said that I was better than any other person? When did I ever say we did everything? Generalizing is dangerous practice. The one thing a bout Americans that nobody ever realizes is that we are increadibly diverse. You are right we do have people like that, and unfortunately they tend to be more vocal than the rest of us, but that's not even the majority. It's just that the idiots seem to yell louder. If you saw a group of guys at a resteraunt and three of them were loud, drunk, vulger, and violent, it would be natural to assume the others in the group were too, even if they did nothing to prove it. I think we have gotten that kind of image with the world, but it's not real. Most of us are good hearted, intellegent, fair, hard working people. We just have a few loud idiots in our midst. Sorry, but they are our niebors, and brothers. We have to take them with us. It gives us a bad image, but that's part of living with them.

It's just as fashionable for an outsider to hate America as it is for Americans to dislike anyone else in the world, take France for instance. America is a very cool country who has been to space, to the moon, and sent research robots to other planets. America has nice beaches full of elderly friendly people, who naievely think it's still 1950, but still they are sweet and friendly in their quaint way, and they give lemonaid and pie to guests, because they wear the Q-Ray.

Americans have turned desert wastelands into megatropolises, LA, LV, SLC, Dallas. And American universities have vast historical knowledge. They also invent lots of health machines, battled childhood diseases.

Americans also make movies that transport the movie goer into a whole new dimention.

What's to hate about them. Their elderly give you free Lemonaid and pie! and tell you to have a nice day! Or the Elderly in America who've I met anyways.

America is very once sided

I will say one thing about Canada though, I had a particularly distateful time in Toronto. I've been to Nashville, Chicago, and Cincinnati, I live 30 minutes from Detroit, and I'd have to say people in Toronto were the rudest of the big city people I've met.

It might just be because Toronto is HUGE by comparison, a one time bad experience, and I probably could find an equal, if not greater number of pricks in New York.

Do Canadians feel Toronto sucks too, or was it just a bad visit I had?
