Agreed, however, if you're using a marquee for something like scrolling affiliate banners, it doesn't have the same tacky look as a n00bish page with lots of scrolling text would. You just have to know when it's the right time to use them. But often, they do look trashy.

Yea totally!
I hate using scrolls. I mean how can I use them without making it look like a noob is making them.
If you ask me , do not use scrolls ever.

Personally, I think scrolling affiliates banners are one of the most annoying things that a site can have, but thats just me :S
