What is the story behind EMOs?

I been reading through the post here on the forums of Newgrounds. And I noticed that many users mention that EMOs are a group that they don't like. The EMOs are like an isolated people, depressed people, and lonely. Also that EMOs are not really a normal group. So I hoping the users here of Newgrounds can tell what is the story behind EMOs. Because I not really sure.
And yes I do know that the username I picked those have EMO. And your probably going, well your EMO you should know. But the truth is I don't. And I really hope that the users here at Newgrounds can give me a straight answer. I really appreciate that and an answer if I should change my username? So Newground Users can you please give answers.

Err...story? I'm not exactly sure what you are asking for here. They're just depressed people that try to spread their depression to get attention.

Emo just means emotional. Emos aren't afraid to share emotions, or something.

one reason is that when people start disbanding emos, people who are their friends disband them because they do not want to be perceived as emo

THANK YOU Newground users for your answers and replies. And a big THANK YOU to user deadstick for the link to EMO. I read and from what I understand EMOs are a group of people who are emotional. And try using that for attention. So Thanks You. The only question I have now is if I should change my username? Because it has EMO in it.

Emos here are viewed as a bunch of pity seekers who don't have a spine, and rightfully so since most emo people follow that description. It's a culture, a really shitty culture.

its simple emos are like... well the story is theyre soo unloved and think there hated that they have to be able to control some kind of paiona and they can only control physical that my ffriend is the story
