It's supposed to be set at night so I used a black box with a 40 or 45 percent alpha, but I keep running into the dark/bright issues.
ANY and ALL crits are welcomed as long as they are constructive.
Note: this is still early in the process.
.
Use dark colors to simulate night...don't darken
Thanks for the tip, why is it bad to darken the frames?
also, is it looking dark or bright to you guys?
Thanks again!
Its great animation, but I can't notice the darkened layer with the alpha.
Why is it too bad to darken the frames? Cause it looks unnatural in some ways...but thats just me...
people's brightness is set on their computer, i don't think you can change that. it will probably look fine, because their eyes are set to that brightness, and so anything darker will be recognized.
i think that makes sense...
XD, your a horrible animator, but a great artist, fbf (frame-by-frame) is in high demand now, perhaps a higher fps and 15 more frames wouldnt hurt.....
look hash...it looks like n00bey animation cos hes hosting on imageshack...
oh and between...you have chances on newground alphas

no it looks like noobey animation because its tweened
Okay, you're right. I'm going back in and adding darker colors and I've also noticed that some comps don't even seem to see the dark alpha layers anyway or they make them WAY too dark.
Hash, as already pointed out, the animation is nowhere near that choppy until I posted it on Imageshack. It's also not supposed to be that big.
Thanks for the input, guys. keep them coming!

well then just increase the fps, and double all the frames, that way its all good :D, i have nothing against you, im just trying to help.
hash, I have no problem with your crits as long as you explain them and you make a very good point. The later action sequence does consist of mostly fbf.
I decided to totally redo the demon intro into fbf.
CHANGE IT NOW ^_^ Its good, but i realy hate the red line ¬_¬. Granted hes been sliced in half but there is a better way to show that than a red line? Torn flesh, torn clothes none of this is shown so it looks like its infront of the clothes floting rather than imbeded.
