Listen up, you damn kids.. This is a guide to let you know how to photoshop a pic. Read it or suffer.
- What is 'photoshop'?
Photoshop is a a program made by Adobe. It's full name is Adobe Photoshop and can be used to photo edit images. It's a graphics editor. However, it's used on the BBSs to say when you want to "Photo edit" an image, no matter what photo edition program you use.
- What programs can be used to photoshop an image?
There are many out there. The most used are: Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, Gimp, Corel Photo-Paint, Microsoft Photodraw, etc.
-It's Paint a program to photoshop?
No. Paint is not a program to photoshop or photo edit images, because due his lack of tools to give a professional finish to the images.
- How do I photoshop here? (NG BBS)
First, you gotta use a good program to do it. I'm so fucking tired of see topics like "Photoshop this man!" and see a bunch of 'Ninjas" made of the image using Paint. Ninjas are not funny with Paint anymore. Same with a lame text made with Paint and / or mucus comming from someone's face.
Why are they lame? For a simple reason: They don't look real at all. The more 'original' the pic looks like, the better it will be. And since Paint is not to give professional finish to the images, it will never look real.
Second, you gotta have some skills with your graphic editor program. Yeah, we know you love to cut the face of anyone and put it on Bedn's body (Or viceversa) but at least you gotta learn how to cut it well and take off 'the white' thing around the face.
If you wanna learn how to improve your skills using your graphic editor, open the Tutorials that the program itself must have... Or use Google to find a decent website with decent tutorials...
- How do I start a photoshop topic?
To start it is easier, but to delete it and/or to lock it, is even easier for us. So keep in mind these things:
1.- Never ever post a blurred picture or a bad quality picture. You might not get serious answers and everyone might Flame you. Try to get at least a decent picture to photoshop.
2.- If you want us to photoshop a member, you gotta ask the member itself if he wants to be photoshoped and if is ok to make fun of him/her. Otherwise, the topic might get deleted and you could get banned. You can not post other members pics if they don't want to.
3.- Animals and places are cool to photoshop too, but keep in mind point # 1, and that you might be breaking point # 4 (See below)
4.- We don't need more "Photoshop my cat/dog/house/bird" topics... If you want your topic to survive the day, you gotta make it original. Post an original pic. Post something cool to photoshop.
5.- All the mods have a different point of view about Photoshop topics. Keep that in mind. Even if your topic is answered by a mod, and/or that mod posted a pic there too, another mod could close/delete the topic itself if he/she finds it too stupid to be here and / or inappropriate. So, get over it. There's no need to e-mail a mod and/or an admin for it. You probably will be ignored.
Final advice for the Photoshopers:
Don't break the rules with your photoshoped image. Keep in mind that the rules apply even for images. If you post an image with a penis, you'll get banned...Even if is a cartoon kind penis. We don't want to see penises on our users faces. Same with racist remarks and the use of racial slurs. Make your image funny, but no offensive.
