Expanding flash Ads

Hey, I'd like to know how do you actually make flash ads expends on websites, like when you roll over there's a panel that goes over the HTML to show more things, then you can close it to go back to the website, anyone know how?
I'm pretty sure it would use divs and javascript but I don't know much HTML so I want to know since I made the flash part already and it's for a website.

on some websites there are flash ads, that when you roll over or click on a button they expand let's say it's a 600x80 it goes 600x200 and goes over the html hiding things under it. I want to do that, but I don't really know how.

I think he's asking that if you click on an ad, how do you get a menu to pop up with more options to click on and then you can click the close button when you're done. I have no idea why you'd want to do something like that so what are you doing with it?

Ah! Those! I think it's done with javascript but I have no idea how to do it unless you right-click on a site with those ads and see if you can figure out what's in the source to make them behave that way. (they're annoying if you ask me)

In internet explorer you can set the style of something's (IE a flash) position to "absolute" and then you can set it's position dynamicaly with javascript. www.w3schools.com and look up the DHTML (DOM) examples

What he wants to do is have an ad in a general position but have an "external" like ad pop up and cover the page so that you have to click the close button to close it but the page that you're visiting is still open underneath the ad. It figures that I've seen quite a few of them and can't find an example to show you right now lol. But watch me find one after I post lol.

I've seen something like what he's explaining before in FireFox, it looked like a transparent PNG image (WHOA DOESN'T WORK IN IINTERNET EXPLORER HUH LOL GUESS NOT LOL SURPRISE LOL) that popped out of the ad and expanded over all the content with a fancy shadow and shit, but I blocked it with AdBlock (LOL NOT AVAILABLE WITH IE LOL HUH LOL) because it was annoying.

Whos gives two shits about png transparancy? You can still use transparancy with other image formats so it seriously doesnt matter. Adblock is a bit pathetic because it prevents you from supporting sites that you like and blocks some stuff you dont need blocked. Besides IE you can download one or just buy one, its worth paying a bit extra for a coupld of apps because IE has so many more features then FF.

I personally like Firefox much better. It's faster than IE, not as crowded as IE, etc. But thats just my opinion... Also, now that IE lost that court case, it will really suck now :-\

Also, layouts I make usually look like shit in IE, but look perfect in firefox.
