Ok, first i wanna thank you who kicked my butt to get a real guitar.
In result of that, i'll get a friggin guitar.
So, here's the great question: Should i get a special recorder/microphone to record some riffs? I need a new recorder because my others got as good quality as a sick cow, and some are real old. So gimme the name and other needy info.
PC Performance? No problem, i've got the almoust newest DELL computer and don't need to worry about it.
System? Windows XP.
Need answers! -/Dark_Dennis92\-

So, i don't need any special? It works with a normal? Sweet!
One more thing, since i'm gonna get a guitar, which guitar should i get?
I'm skilled at Ukulele, Acoustic Guitar, Bass and i've played a bit on a elec-guitar.
So, which should i bet on?

get a fender strat if you can afford it, or if ou have major dollar get yourself a gibson les paul, the daddy of guitars. i myself own a 100 pound hurricane thats got a god tone, i use a mulit fx pedal, and a marshall amp. get urselfan electro acoutstic, anything over 300 pound is a sound investement.
as for recording, buy a tascam us-122 it has dedicated mic/guitar imputs and phantom power and is the dogs bllocks for its price.

it's true. i have one guitar. an '84 epihpone sg. i don't need another guitar for any reason. but as pitters said to buy a fender strat, don't. a strat is worthless unless you can get a special model that has 22 frets 'cause most strats come stock with 21 frets which is just mathematically incorect for guitar theory. plus it's a fender so it's a piece of shit. if you ant an electric i suggest gettin' a gibson or a jackson. jacksons are pretty cheap nowadays, play fast as hell, and are amazing guitars. for the price that they go for now you'll be happy with it more than you could believe.
as for a recorder, if you want some good software go for cubase sx, sonar 5, or cakewalk home studio 2004. and also as pitters said grab up the tascam us-122. my friend has one of them and let me tell you that it is a great little tool.

A good type of mic for guitar would be a condenser mic. You'll needa pre-amp, and hardware. But that's more for the professional level of recording.
You can also get USB microphones that don't really need anything special. That's probably more of what you're looking for.
If you're in doubt, stop by a Guitar Center and they will be able to tell you ANYTHING you want to know...That would be a good idea. They know their shit......most the time.
Wait to buy anything, just go for some info...Look up prices online.
