When i take the bottom of my mouse off, and the ball, I have 3 wheels, one controls horizontal movement, one controls vertical movement, the other one seems to do nothing and can be pushed in and it springs back out...
Anyone mind telling me what it's there for, I've always wondered..

That was my guess, but from the looks of my mouse I don't think it needs it...

Ball mouses are something I rarely use but the only thing that I can think of is to keep the ball in securely

its to keep the ball pushed against the back roller... neways... GO OPTICAL!!! but make sure ur desk isnt reflective... my cursor will move side to side on its own sometimes cause my desk is varnished wood and the light reflects oddly... its trippy...

The third wheel is to keep the ball pushed against the other two rollers.
