Ok computer problemo.
Basically when I switch on my computer it runs extremely slow and I have to end process an application called IEXPORER.EXE (Internet Explorer I guess) all the time because its taking up all my CPU.
This is annoying and takes like 2 minutes to do

So what is this Process?
Why is it bullying me?
How do I stop it doing so?
And am I ever gonna see the biff again?

Also I run firefox if it helps.

I had that, Iexplore is IE, IexplorER is a virus, your goiong to have to find the actual file, or reboot your pc.

Yeah, iexplorer.exe is a virus.. but it shouldn't get past most (good) virus scans

I'd say scan your computer for spyware/viruses and/or try to delete the actual file running the process. Other then that I'm out of ideas.

Oh right yeah, missed that. Just download WinCleaner if you haven't already got it, if you have, then run it. It will delete all viruses and any unnecessary files on your computer.

www.getfirefox.com

http://www.opera.com/ with IE for the stuff Opera can't do yet. These are the least taxing web-browsers, when put together they still take up less RAM and HDD space than FireFox, Opera has little to no bug issues and security leaks, and like all other browsers (Including FireFox), they DO NOT PREVENT VIRUSES AND THE LIKE FROM DOWNLOADING. I'm just putting my reccomendation out there, even if I do not use Opera... I have used it before, and it is nifty.

Anywho, do scan with your choice of an Adware/Spyware/Malware/Trojan scanning program, and with the Anti-Virus of your choice.

I have a free version of the full McAffee, thanks to Comcast, Windows AntiSpy/Virus, Spybot, Ad-Aware, Yahoo Anti-Spy, and AVG Free. I have multiple virus scans and adware scans, because certain ones take to long, certain ones miss stuff, and other things related to that. For instance: Yahoo AntiSpy is quick, small, and effective enough. Windows AntiSpy removes a lot and detects a lot, Spybot S&D has worked very well in removing stuff, and Ad-Aware is effective in removing stuff, and detects what the others do not. AVG free has detected almost all of my virus/trojan problems.
