Did anyone play the godfather game? Im curious to know if it is any good? What are the flaws etc.

By looking at the commercial, it looks like a PS1 game (graphic wise).

I bought it the other day, and basically.... it kicks ass!

flaws:

Driving unrealistic, e.g. a truck handles like a ferrari

ups:

Graphics: Unbelivable, I never seen x-box pushed that far since halo 2
Gameplay: Imagine a grown up, more entertaining version of GTA. Imagine brutal violence, like strangulation, with hands or wire. Executions and finishing moves (my fav is holding someone down and blowing there brains out). Extortion, man handle people to get money of them.
Local: This has an entire 1930's new york mapped to every single detail, to be honest, its breath taking!!!
Back to gameplay again, your character is FULLY customizamle. I spent 2 hours making mine look like a dirty pikey :P
You get to play in the godfather universe, like helping some guy put a horses head in someones bed :D Is unbelivable man, buy this game. FUck the critics!

I have not persoanlly played it, but my cousin said the Godfather game was poor, took him 1 day to complete and took it back to Game the next day and got a re-fund bought resi evil 4.

I was planning to buy it before it's release, then I read the gamespot review and decided not to. (poor enemy A.I.) I would've put it as mediorce instead in the review. Like what most people said, it's basically below average, so don't buy it.

I got it when it came out and I was really impressed with it.

the graphics, for the most part, were good.

the analog control system works surprisingly well, and the shooting controll can be a little frustrating when you have to lock on to a target quickly but it works well.

If you like the movie or GTA I sereously sudgest buying it

The game is like GTA without any depth, you cant go anywere except like 2 allyes, nothing special, cars are just made for driving people over as you can plow through 200+ people and still the car goes at half speed.
The shooting is nice and so are the exicutions, police is still lame because even if you kill someone silently in a basement with the wire youll get the police after you.

I say its worthing taking on a pirate trip.

Look I've almost completed this game and i've had alot of fun so what if u cant do as much shit as in the gta games its much more realistic, its alot of fun and you character is like an rpg u add points to there skills as u get more respect in the game u start off as a nobody and u work your way up and eventually u become the don

if you like the godfather film it makes its alot better, if ur a stupid 12 year old who is like oh you cant do as much shit as in gta ur just a fag and shouldnt bother posting..

you can physically bribe cops in this game & extorting business's is alot of fun

Yeah I have it the graphics are ok ( I have for the PS2) The gameplay is great and pretty fun to beat up peopel with punchs or throw them into ovesn and wallas and shooting them...Yeah the driving isnt tha realistic sometimes but hey who cares the storyline fits rigth in with the movie of course and Ea did pretty ice job with the game. You take over stores and compunds of the other familys and take over illegal rackets and such. I give this game 8/10
