Maybe this is just me but I don't think superman has the ability to blow up planets. And considering Goku could do that since the beginning of the series, and has done nothing but improved over time, and Superman has pretty much plateaued his power, i would say Goku simply based on the fact that based on Superman's enemies and how he fights, he is nothing compared to any Super Saijin.

we cant really judge this topic only because they both hold back their strength so other arent hurt which is the reason y they dont fight at full unless it is absolutely necessary one thing is clear superman is stronger by far the man moves planets nuff said but goku's kameha wave can blow up a planet so on raw fist to fist fighting superman would win but if goku starts shootin that wave of his then his might seriously injure supes but these guys hold back so we wont know till some one puts it on tv so we can settle it

Golden/ Silver age superman had retard-strenght. He could move planets by pushing on them and throw things at the sun nonstop. Also I'm pretty sure he moved at like 1/10th of the speed of light at times.
And he can spin around the planet to reverse time. Now that's pretty hardcore. Goku might have some trouble against that guy, but hey, come on, he could practically blow up galaxies by the end of DragonballGT, so I think he'd fuck superman's shit up regardless.

Modern Superman, however, is a sissy-fuck and he would get his head caved-in within seconds.

I hear at both of their primes they would actually be equal. But screw fighting I'm more interested in seeing what they would look like fused.

well for me i figture it like this

if it a hand to hand, now powers used (enegry blast laser eyes, etc) goku will win because he got karate skills
superman hand to hand skills freakiing suck
(look at a superman cartoon where superman is fight someone to see what i mean) goku would dodge every punch superman throw, and beat his ass!!

if it a power only superman will win because he have more types of powers then goku. if goku instant trancemission
him to a or near a red sun they both would die from the sun's heat or from lack of oxygen, so goku can't really use that move

Same as all superhero's. They have no trouble fighting off a million henchmen, but when it comes to the main bad guy, who is no more than a regular man, all of a sudden the superhero becomes superweak.

Superman is fast, strong, etc, but he doesn't have any finishing moves, he can punch fucking hard, shoot laser beams that can be dodged, but in the end, Goku could outmaneuver him. Eventually, I think Goku would win this one.

GOKU WILL MAKE SUPERMAN HIS BITCH!! Goku just needs to make millions of kienzan discs (the chasing one that Frieza and Cell uses) to slice at superman. Since kienzan discs can slice particularly anything it comes across, even STEEL!! As Superman is the Man of Steel, it should be no problem. And if that doesn't work, use an instant transmission technique combined with a kamehameha and slam it right at superman's face (which Goku did at cell before). That should knock him out or nearly unconscious, then finish the job...
