I can't wait to get IX and X on Steam

I'm guessing at least IX will be released on Steam in the future.

Not sure about X though.

I just wish they wouldn't do this. Optional or not it cheapens the whole game.

Well, if I remember correctly, Esuna and Curaga are the only somewhat useful ones for junctioning out of that whole list (late game). So it's not too cheap and it's better than having to grind endlessly.

yeah but it would be nice I mean they have XI on Steam so IX and since V-VIII and XI are on steam hopefully IX and X and X-2 aren't far behind

Maybe not. VII and VIII already had PC releases, but with IX they'd have to port it from scratch.

Final Fantasy VIII is on Steam. Which version should I get? The PlayStation version or the Steam version?

The steam version is probably better, for the achievements and that.

I have to wait for X HD. I think I can get tactics on the Vita as well right? I also highly recommend Dissidia. It was what got me into Final fantasy, I wanted to learn more about the characters. I've always been curious about FF but Dissidia gave me a solid push. My first FF was 6.

Did they butcher the music for VIII like they did with VII?

VI-X are probably the best to go with if you are new and the best part is most of them are on steam, psn or really cheap on amazon for original copies.

Nope

I know the original FFT and the superior War of the Lions version are both on PSN, I have no idea if they're playable on Vita though.

So, has anyone played Lightning Returns yet? Is it any good, or at least better than XIII and XIII-2?

Not yet but I'm really wanting to play it. The fact you ONLY play as Lightning with no allies through the game seems pretty cool.

I have tried the demo. I think its the best of Final Fantasy 13 series. You can....
- free roam around
- change different attack style in battle mode.

lol the 13 series is just the best parts of Squaresoft final Fantasy's thne adding subpar characters and plot and slapping the final fantasy name to it.

though its a really stupid move just making the FFX and X-2 for the Playstation only if you released that on Xbox and Steam they would make more money. but you know its Square enix and apparently sound business and fiscal responsibility decisions aren't their strong suit when it comes to games.

I have never beaten Final Fantasy 10, but it seemed ok. But the memory is blurry in my 11 year old mind :P.

I think it was most fun on "Gran Pulse" where you can do sidequests in Final Fantasy 13, and a wide open area with flying monsters and stagger mode, i have not tried the newer sequals to FF13 series after that though.

I think you'd be interested in my sprite series, The Saviors (specifically #2, because only a couple things from FF6 appear in #3). I will always think 6 is the best. So won't Nobuo Uematsu.

9 is pretty cool, I found the characters generally likeable and the plot is kind of interesting, like a real fantasy adventure should be.

8 was really... ehhhh. I don't think many people here (or in general) are fans of FF8. I'd have to say my favorite character from 8 was Irvine. Everyone else comes off as too basic for me.

Final Fantasy has a great history, but has lost its way lately. The series needs to return to better times.
