Wow, I actually forgot about Final Fantasy Tactics A2. Then again, I'm not too big on the Tactics series and I'm only interested in getting the PSP remake right now. Speaking of PSP, I did ask it for my birthday, but no-one got it for me. However, I do have enough money to get one thanks to everyone last Saturday, but since I have around £600, I'm now thinking of getting a laptop or a PS3.

What's gay about that? It's still gonna be on the PS3. Plus, I have a 360.... then again, my expectations are rather low for this one. I can just pictures absurd faggotry presenting from the characters. This is what happens when Hironobu Sakaguchi doesn't contribute shit anymore.

I like the idea of games being exclusive to consoles. And thats being removed nowadays.
And I've never had an X-Box and always had a PS. So the exclusives going over to X-Box just disappoints me.

If each console has the same games then it defies the point of there being more than one. And I think competition based on exclusives is far more interesting than debates over superior hardware and whatnot. Because, I couldn't give a shit about that.

I never liked the GBA one to be honest. Those judges and the rules were a serious pain that really hindered my fun. I just prefer the original for the PS1.

Well it is being delayed for a full year before it comes to the 360. At least XIII VS is staying a PS3 exclusive.

Either way I don't really care anymore about exclusivity. I just want to play the damn thing. >/

So I hear Final Fantasy Agito XIII is going to be on PSP; not just on cell phones as was previously thought.

This is good news, I'm quite excited since it's the only one of the consoles a XIII game is going to appear on that I have.

And if the screenshots are anything to go by, it looks good.

I don't think FF will ever be the same since Hironobu Sakaguchi left for mist walker, I didn't like Blue Dragon but Lost Odyssey was good.

BTW, did Hironobu have anything to do with FFX? cause that was preetty good. I also heard the FF film was a big downfall in Square's markets - it was OK.

I just got that too. I haven´t really started it though, only done the first 2 fights again. Looks the same so far, except for the dialogue, which has pretty much been all re-wrote. Glad they didn´t change it too much to be honest.

Final Fantasy will never be the same with or without anyone. Visuals will get so much more attention as graphic capabilities increase.
That and storylines, characters and general creativity will not surpass the previous gems.
And I for one hate the knew battle system. But we all know that already :).

Spirits Within was bland. Advent Children was fun to watch, but besides the fact its lovely on the eyes there isn't much else.

Spirits Within was a flop in most peoples, and critics opinions, but i thought it was ok. Square shouldn´t have given it the name FF though, because it didn´t feel anything like a final fantasy. I mean, it was based on this Earth in the future.

I personally loved AC being the FFVII freak i am, but it was generally better accepted than Spirits within.

You mean Spirits Within? I can only remember one FF relevance in that film, which was a guy named Cid. Overall, it was a really lame film. :( Advent Children, on the other hand, was good and a hell lot better than Spirits Within.

Just brought a laptop remember, quite rashly too, I need to save me money up now, bills and shit.

So i´m playing through FFT again, but on the PSP this time. So far so good. I´d say i´m about half way, just killed Wiegraf/Belias. I think the new translation is actually kinda better. At first i thought it was wierd, but i guess that was because i´d already played the original 2 or 3 times.

So far i´ve only found 1 new character. Well, i say found, but you can´t miss him basically. A guy called Luso. He´s ok, but nothing super special about him. I´m looking forward to getting Balthier in this one, and unlocking the 2 new jobs: Dark Knight and Onion Knight. The Dark Knight is supposed to be the best, but takes forever to unlock him. Onion Knight is easy to unlock, but he´s weak, and gets stronger as you master other classes, so when you have 10 or more other classes mastered the onion knight is strong. Or so i read.

Oh, and i´m dieing to play the multiplayer version, but no one else i know has the game >:(

I found that far before I unlocked the Dark Knight, I was already powerful enough to beat any of the maps with a lot of ease.

You can thank the overpowered Balthier, and Arithmetician for that. And to a lesser extent, Cid.

Ofcourse. I completed the original and did the whole deep dungeon and all sidequests without Balthier, Dark Knights or Arithmaticians. I guess they just wanted to add a few cool jobs into the re-make.

I just got Balthier though, and he´s great. His speed is nearly twice everyone elses, and his Barrage attack is great. Makes some fights a bit too easy though.
I tried a random monster fight with just Balthier on his own. 6 monsters vs Balthier and using barrage from a distance they can´t do anything.

Also, this club has come to a halt it looks like. No-one interested in FF anymore or no-one going to talk untill a new FF comes out? ;_;

Okay, let's talk Final Fantasy.

Well, I just started playing FFX again the other day.

I'm already 10 hours into it, so that's pretty impressive on the part of a game I've already completed before.

It's probably like... My favourite game ever.

It may be a little too linear, but its story, characters, battle system, art etc. are so good.

I love the way that boss battles are made quite cinematic through the use of the action commands, or whatever they're called.

The voice acting's not quite as good as the likes of FFXII, but's still pretty good. Auron especially.

Though the designs of some of the characters are kinda distractingly bizarre. Lulu must be wearing like all the belts in Spira, and Tidus looks like he's stepped on a landmine in a fishing store.
