Seriously?

It always seemed to me to be one of the most impractical weapons ever designed.

So it´s impractical in real life, but he didn´t have any trouble using it. I mean it´s a good design, and very original. Who would have thought of something like that?

Hey, you know what would be more practical than attaching a blade to a gun?

A gun by itself.

Just tell me it didn´t look good. Besides, his attacks did more than Irvines, so it´s obviously more effective in the game ;P

Maybe Irvine was really a terrible shot, since he's a sharpshooter.

Being a sharpshooter may mean that he's not particularly good at the sort of gun based combat that occurs in regular battles in that game.

Oh, come on! If he´s a sharp shooter and can snipe, do you really think he´s going to have trouble shooting a still target 10 meters in front of him?

Man, that would be totally warm.

Kind of liked Squalls outfit to be honest. He doesn't have much competition anyway.

Though I think Clouds the only man to get away with wearing a purple jump suit and still being somewhat manly.

I'm sure he could be a good character if he was in the bloody game.

I didn't realise that he was an evil character until somewhere near the end of the game.

At that point I was just thinking "hey, wasn't he that guy from the start?"

Sniping, and close quarters gun fighting are a lot different, you know.

And the fact that he can't kill things easily with a gun clearly proves it.

Ruby Dragons were pretty tough if you didn´t level up a bit, and confuse is one of the worst status effects.
I remember i was hunting molboros to get molboro tentacles to make a new weapon and they kept using bad breath on me, giving Squall confuse and all the rest. One hit on another team mate would kill them :(

Meh, you could tell he was gonna be the badguy from the first time you see him, with that stupid accent and all.

Laguna was just as bad a shot then? They both get the targets everytime (well, apart from when you get ´miss´ >:( ), but being a game, they´ll never kill the enemy with just a couple of bullets. The gunblade, being the protagonists weapon will obviously take more damage.

If you didn't, I would be ridiculously annoyed.
After finally beating the Final Aeon, only to be confronted with another hard boss.

Would have made it more challenging.

He had a posh English accent.

Most of the characters in the game did.

Aside from the American lower class, and the Icelandic Viera.

And of course the pig and reptile people.

Nah, Laguna just had a crap gun.

It had rubber bullets.

Or something else that supports my argument.

Would have made it more challenging.

After having to go through beating the Final Aeon, if I suddenly had to fight a difficult boss, and then subsequently died, I would have had to go up to the person who thought up that idea and... Express my disapproval.

If I happened to be in Japan, and near wherever that guy lives.

The point is, I'm happy with Yu Yevon being impossible to lose on, since he wasn't the final boss.

I´m not. I don´t like those stupid pointless battles. Why fight it if you can´t loose? Whats the point? It´s like when you kill Sephiroth, then have to use omnislash on him.....WHY? They could just show us this in a cutscene. If we´re going to fight someone it should be a real fight.....and challenging.

Malboro Menaces are a nightmare on FFX, especially in the Omega Dungeon. If you're not equipped with Ribbon and you face one in there, you're fucked. However, if you had First Strike ability, I guess you'd be alright then.

I agree with you Life-Stream. Defeating the final boss or villain should be the most difficult task to complete. Think about it. You'll already have high-level characters with the best equipment available by the time endgame is reached. That's the time to truly test your skills. Why waste all those abilities on a fixed fight? Like you said, it's pointless. :-P

Man, they were really bad in FFX. They´re bad in every game, but i think they were the worst in FFVIII and FFX. The ones in FFXII didn´t seem to be that much of a problem.

There were also a monster in the omega dungeon in FFX, i can´t remember what it´s called right now, but it was like a skeleton monster in a big rock. They weren´t very strong, but they had one attack which could cause petrify on all of your party, meaning game over. It did miss alot, or maybe just petrified one person, but i remember it got all of my guys once :(

Exactly. Sure, there are other strong side bosses that you can use all of those skills and abilities on, but not everyone does those. I like the fact that there´s always a really strong boss to kill aside from the end boss, but they should really make the end bosses more difficult, because lately they´ve been getting really easy.

When i was playing VIII first attack it did was bad breathe so it was an instand KO seeing as it put confuse on my party.

I like the fact that there´s always a really strong boss to kill aside from the end boss, but they should really make the end bosses more difficult, because lately they´ve been getting really easy.

On FFVIII the last boss is a bitch along with you have to acquire all your abilities back from defeating mini bosses compared to it (and they alone fuck you up)

From all the FFs that i got to the last boss (VIII not quite X, sin is a bitch and X-2) VIII was the hardest and X-2 was just pathetic, piss easy with lv. 50 characters and not full abilities.
However, if you need a challenge i recommend VIII but what is VII like?
