Pull the plug 2006-03-31 17:14:26 Reply

A while back my friend give me an XP (the one im working on now) and, it had so many
viruses on, that AOL spyware protection froze everytime i put it on. And it wouldnt let me download any protection. So one day it totally Messed up and froze (Ctrl alt and delete would not work) and it was useless (im patient, i waited all day for it to work...). So i pulled the plug on it. When I did this it froze at start up, everytime. Does any one know what happened? Seriously, this would really help.
PS I did fix it, but at a big price...I deleted my CD drive data because i was angry at it and it told me that it needed to go in safe mode or system restoration. When i restored the system, everything was fine, all viruses gone.

If it's fixed now, I don't know why you're looking for help. But just so you know, you never, ever pull a computer's plug out of the wall while it is running. Never. This is MUY BAD. You can do serious damage that you can only fix with some expensive help. You know, like you found out.

and whats worrying is he said it was so bad it could blow up at any second...He couldnt actually fix it properly.
