Well.... ok?

It seems that all the cool people are gone... =[. well.... cool to me... anyways, im sry guys, i've been gone forever due to some stuff.... i mean.. seriously... You don't have to go get pissed at me....

Alright, My guy was supposed to be An Advanced Special Ops. Soldier bent on helping the government. His name is Viper, becuase he was an orphan, so his code name was viper. And i'll admit, i Did sorta make myself a lil rigged with the hole command vehicles perfectly and super speed and shit. And the guns that I picked, there were very similiar to modern guns aswell. (Just a different design, really) so...

You need a redesign. There are no "designed to be government supersoldiers", thats a cliche, and a sorely beaten one at that. Be original, be normal and for the love of all that is good and tasty, NO FUCKING GODMODING!!!

((Timex, first you need to go back to page 117, at the bottom of the page is the intro to the story. This intro will tell you what the story is about. Create a character around that story so it fits.

Go back a few pages and you'll find the long ass discussion about what does, and doesn't work. Get ready for some major reading, because if your character doesn't fit the bill I'm going to ask you to redo it.

So post your character again after you read up. Take your time, this character will be with you most of the story, so take a few hours, sit back, and just let the ideas flow, and when you feel that you have a well balanced, finely sculpted person, hit that little button that says "Submit". Write an intro and delve into the world with the rest of us.

I can wait for your character, I just don't want half-assed god-mod super-l33t ninja men able to jump buildings, shoot a dime off a moving target a mile away while they conquer the aliens with their legs. Make it good, make it a regular person, this isn't about coolness or else I'd just /Chuck Norris, this is about RPing about surviving in a new world.

-------------------

Also, my character sheet didn't look that long when I wrote it, but that just means it's good, sorry for makin' you all read it lol.))

That's fine, though you didn't have to make an actual middle name, a letter will sufice lol.

Age: 13

17 or above, did you even read that stuff I asked you to? Please make sure you understand it all, it'll make your stay so much more enjoyable.

Apperance: A skinny, tall kid. Weighing at least, 100 pounds. Maybe even 3-5 feet tall. Fine, but make to a person 17+ in age.

Equipment: [Emergency] Berretta, 3 rounds, old, rusty pocket knife, bandages, 4 Water Bottles, 6 Loaves of bread, 2 cans of corn, 1 Lollipop.

What type of Beretta is it? There are different calibers which make a major difference since something like a .22 will not hurt as much, but a .45 will do a good deal of damage. Where did the pocket knife come from, is it like a Swiss Army Knife so that it has alot of different tools or is it just a folding knife? Where did he get the food?

Skills: Can manuever through Urban areas well (Climb fences, Climb onto roofs, Jump across medium sized gaps (take notice of size, weight, hieght, and age) and climb up poles.) Average Survival Skills.

So an agile person, that's good, but what are "average survival skills"? Can he kill a moose from a mile away (lol), make a fire, build a basic shelter, cook, sew, fix basic wounds, what are these talents that he has and to what extent?

Personality: Very friendly, kind, observant, has a bad attitude when is angered, will complete favors such as delivering packages, telling messages, and running across town. That's good, covers alot about him.

Bio: Tim grew up with his parents right on the border of Canada and the US. His parents, at the time, were living in poverty, so they moved to the colony of California. Tim was only 7 years old when they
had moved.

So are you in Northern California or have you moved to Southern?

As soon as they had arrived, The alien colonization class has landed. His parents, feeling patriot

No, this setting is about 100+ years after all that, I think we've gone through a major war, and now are just trying to survive in a factioned world. So move your character up a little, and reexplain how his parents were lost.

With no one to tell him from right and wrong, he steals and practices running and free-running

A very good skill for the worlds current status.

To this day, he lives in an abandoned, old house's basement. With only a cot, blanket, and his

When he was young he got the watch, or something like that, because he has to be older.

He lives in the city, surviving off the land and practicing his skills.

It's seems...good, just change the things I asked and post it back, then you can join your trial period. The trial period is when we look at your RPing abilities and decide whether or not you are good or not. This doesn't mean we're going to say "STFU&GTFO" it's just that some people blatantly break obvious rules, or practically spam the forum with junk (these people will be talked to through PM and NOT through forum if incountered). So basicly write with alot of detail, if your not a good writer but you at least are trying, ask for help, we all need it sometimes. But if you post like

zombie came, zombie dead, happy time

with no effort someone will probably PM you to "shape up or ship out" meaning try harder of GTFO! lol

Have fun.

K, no doubt your busy, seems like everyone is recently. I'll definantly look into things like that if your not around.

Now would someone like to check my character sheet? If anything is a little sketchy just tell me to elaborate and I will.

Ty Sword, I've been sittin' here waitin' for someone to post something...anything!

Anyway, I'm not a mob boss, my character was just taken in by a large gang that rules a city now, so I got interested in books and pretty much just pimped my services out to people, including my gang. Though he belongs to a gang he isn't really a gangbanger, they're just people he considers associates now that he's older.

But I think gangsters know how to survive...so why not.

((Well they have guns at the very least, and guns=power sooooooo . . .
I'm going to try and make something happen soon, Jak maybe you could be a tad more specific as where your dude is, but other than that it is totally tits.

Also I'm suffering from a bit of writers block, no matter what I cook up its never quite right, I'm never happy enough with it to post, or even finish writing it! So I think tomorrow morning I'm going to write something about whats happening elsewhere in the world, give some context and freshen things up. Its an old technique to write about something else, to keep the reader from getting bored and the writer from getting bored. Anyway, it'll (probably) be up early tomorrow morning.))

((Oh don't worry Chickidy, tomorrow I will be posting something to help you most likely, so don't worry much about that. It will also tell you where I am.

I'm enjoying this RP already, it's a nice break-away from the normal "enemy, shoot it, kill something else, let's go here, kill some more stuff" not to say that I don't enjoy it, but it's nice to take a break from it and just try my hand at some regular RPing. Though don't expect all my posts to be absent of some live-fire. (hint, hint)

One more thing to ask...

What about romances/ nsfw stuff. Mostly we don't need NSFW correct? What about romances and things, I'm not really into that sort of RPing but just so everyone knows that we really don't need that sort of thing in the RP.

Jak had been traveling for many days, the clear roads with their yellow lines dashing by as he cruised along turning to dirt and gravel. The ride had been bumpy, the steel plated 100 plus year old ambulance rattling like an aggitated snake, drowned his thoughts into an almost comatose state of trance. With his hairy hand draped over the wornout steering wheel he reflected on his mission from the paper clipped to the sun-faded visor.

Jak: Needing help urgently, husband won't live long...emergency...it's always a damned emergency. *He said mumbling*

Jak had been stopped by a strange fellow on horseback while traveling south for some supplies. When handed the message he'd taken at least 5mins to decypher the broken english scrolled on the page. Now that he was near a town he was amazed at the difference around what he was told was once California, a territory of what was called "The United States of America", now it was just some small back-ass-ward town ruled by some sort of kingdoms. If he brought the gang over they could have probably taken both kingdoms within 24hours, but Grisle, the head of the mob, long decendant of a high-class mob boss who once ruled most of "California" now Grisle had control of a large city, but had continully expressed his exact desires to not waste men in worthless conquest.

While Jak was cruising 45mph along a hill, the gravel and brown dust shooting up behind his old rubber tires like rooster tails, he noticed a steady steam of smoke wisping it's way up into the sky. This wasn't like a fire, but possibly a chimney. Shading his eyes and looking up through the window, the morning sun blazing through the dense trees that covered the hill like fur, he could faintly make out a wooden structure with smoke coming from the top. [Maybe they'll know where I can find this guy] Slowing to 10mph he looked closely at the front window for some sort of trail or sign pointing a way up. A little ways down he found a sign, almost missing the small wooden thing surrounded by grass and worn-down by nature, he parked the ambulance, manually pushing all the locks down and getting out. He patted his leg, the keys jingling inside his pocket normally, and headed up the small path, stumbling through the branches and thick, knee high grass, until he crested the ridge.

There was a small clearing with a quaint little wooden lodge in center, horses tied to the post off to the side and a tall chimney sticking from the top of the building, spouting grey opaque smoke. The unsettling part though, was the two men standing infront of the heavy wooden door, guns leveled at his chest. Jak furrowed his furry face.

Jak: I asure you both that won't be nessicery.

Neither of the tow men moved, but the first one spoke.

Man on the left: Only the best hunters allowed en 'ere! Turn around or prov' your worth mah tam!

[Oh great, damned southerners...stupid hicks.] Jak thought, about to turn tail and walk back to his vehicle and find directions he got a better idea. In the corner of his eye he could make out the slight form of a Hell-deer, it's coat just barely shining through the trees all the way to the lodge. [A few yards, time to show these inbreds what real shooting is.] Jak wasn't the best shooter, by far there were better ones, but he was average, so he swung his AKM up and to the left, the iron sights lining up with the Hell-deers head as it cocked it's head to something near it. Taking a sec to make sure the think was lined up for a kill he pulled the trigger to let fly the heavy round.

Jak grunted slightly from the gun's recoil but smiles as the deer let out it's odd shreek/ howl and toppled to the ground.

???: Who deh fuck!

Jak didn't know who that was but guessed he'd just stolen someones kill.

Man on the right: Not bad shootin', how 'bout you come insigh for some drink?

Jak: Well, I kinda have some place to go, but one drink can't hurt.

The two men walked into the cozy lodge, settling into some chairs around the large center table and pouring some kind of drink into tin cups, Jak followed suit when the glass came to him, getting a strong wiff of achohol. [Eh, directions can wait till one drink.]

Success, the deer fell with a wet thud, bouncing slightly on the needle padded forest floor. "Alright!" Ed was moving, running up to his prey, inspecting the damage. Both horns were undamaged, completely perfect shot. The slit nose of the beast was covered in blood, sticking out quite sorely on the black, scaly little face. "Aye, best get started." Edward threw the thing, 300 pounds about, on his shoulders and after fastening its legs together with some rope to avoid, complications. The walk wouldn't be a long one, seeing as he wouldn't need to be quiet, it would probably only take 20 minutes.
Thirty minutes later, actually, Edward found himself approaching the lodge. He stopped by the slaughter house and threw the beast down at the door. One of old John's fine services was to butcher any haul and deliver it when he got the chance, you could pay with a portion of the meat or with cold hard cash when he came to deliver. The lodge had another secondary building, near Joseph's Road, coming in from the main one, was John's garage, within was his old Humvee, a bit younger than him, as John claims, it was built back when he was 20 or so, a private in the United States army, times he recalled with a lot of talking and a lot that "Things were better" crap. Edward noticed another thing near though, it was getting to be midday now, so clear as day he could see some big car, covered in steel plating near Sam, looking at Ed nervously. "What in the world?" Ed looked up to the lodge, and jogged up to the door, wanting to find out who owned that car.

((Alright, lets clear up some shit. The way I envisioned it the people of the southern regions of Benito are quiet, hardy and mostly keep to themselves, but lets assume the two hunters from Orslund were really drunk, REALLY REALLY DRUNK, possibly a little high too, I mean John's a rich man. Anyway . . .

Next off, how big is this city, whats your vision of it, it better be pretty damn big if it can take on two confederacies. I'm not saying it shouldn't or couldn't be so, but still it seems a tad unrealistic, given the fact that its a world of crazy aliens and shit. The way I saw California it would be divided up into three major confederacies, Benito, made up of three major warlords who own all of central California and western Nevada, the southern confederacy, Sothland, made up of an unknown ruling body, would rule southern California and probably most of Baja, and the final confederacy would be an un-introduced one, to be revealed later (wink wink) who rules the northern portion of the state and parts of southern Oregon. All I'm saying is if there aren't any objections to California being that way, then I just find it sort of farfetched that a city can take out a couple of City-States and their territories, let alone two.

Please don't take this the wrong way either, I just like realism and understanding, sometimes I can be a tad vague, so this is really my fault. The populations of each would probably be around, shit, 50,000-100,000, the armies would be around 5,000 and they would probably be about a third with guns, the rest using medieval shit. That would be the standing army, they'd probably be able to get double, maybe triple if there were a draft put in place, possibly more if they were really on the edge.))

Seems we got a little mixed up Chickidy lol

The two men in front of your lodge that confronted Jak I was just trying to stereotype southerners lol, those type of drunk, gun tottin', "this is my house son" type of people, but sure, they were drunk... I also figured maybe since it's a small town they would have almost a "guild" of their hunters, where everyone was a proven shot and thus could use the club.

The little town you live in, I thought it was a farely small, but adequete place, but the problem is that it rides the fence between two powerful kindoms ruling the land. This is a good place for Jak to be since I figured they would have wars between each other.

Now when he was driving along I thought your posts made the place sound "country", not many paved roads, kind-of rural, mostly hunters or farmers or men of trade, practically at the whim of the bandit-like army. So I wasn't sure of the gun and defencable status of the place, so my character, only seeing the wide open lands, figured it could be easily takin' with gunpower, but mostly he's just in a bad mood. His gang family isn't super big, but it has a nice city that it supports, the leader deosn't like to go on conquests, he mostly just tries to keep trades up with different cities.

Well now that the gun status is covered I understand more, at first I thought the whole thing was mideival, so the guns helps me alot. I would guess that there's alot of AKs lol, those are usually made in large quantities for poor places. That's why my guy is using an AKM, an even cheaper version of the AK-47.

Now what is the area like? Is it mostly trees? Prairies? Alot of buildings?

Well its basically pine-forest in the southern areas, Hell-deer country and all that jazz, but the farther north or south you get the more farms, settlements, etc. The thing that forms the border is basically a thick as hell pine-forest, a natural and cultural barrier, in the north they have more classic views, in the south they have some stranger ideas, so when it turns to war it will be Total War, especially between the hardy folks of the forest, attrition and all that. Anyway, you helped clear it up, its hard to tell whether you think that or your character thinks that sometimes, but we are all good and cleared up so no worries, also feel free to write the next part, me busting in through the door and all that good stuff.

((Dear Grade 12 Biology. Fuck you. Love, me. 'Nuff said.))

"THAT much for a bloody SPAS-12?! Are you completely off your head, sir?" squawked Ethan at the shopkeeper in his slightly nasal British accented, dulcet tones. "We're trying to make it across the freakin' badlands and you want that much for the thing."

"Ethan, please don't make a scene. I still have a bruise from your little stunt back in Wisconsin." muttered Tony to him, his accent wholly British as well.

Nick rolled his eyes under the brim of his hat. Good Christ on a coffee can, he thought. He loved his friends, but honestly, sometimes they just begged to be run over by a truck.

"Honestly, son. $200 is a fair price for that shotgun. Last week it was double that. I can't move any of this shit."

"Gee, I won-" Ethan's retort was cut off by Nick's well aimed hand, clapping firmly over his mouth.

"And on that note, we'll be leaving now. Thank you for your time, sir." said Nick. His accent was Canadian in origin, but travelling for well over a year now with his British friends was giving him the same accent as them.

"Good day then," said the shop-keep curtly, and turned back to his stock.

"Ethan, are you honestly trying to get us all killed?" demanded Tony, "I mean, you mouthed off to that bandit leader back in Delaware, you tried to screw the daughter of the current governor of the remnants of Texas, and I still don't know how we got through that one."

"I seem to recall some very fast talking on my part, and then we shot it out with the entire fucking town," Nick interjected, "But seriously, dude, just what the fuck were you thinking that day?"

"I was drunk."

"You get drunk off of water." laughed Tony.

"And YOU so wanted to hit that chick we saw back in Nevada last month. Honestly, I think she had every V.D. known to man, and they were breeding in her you-know-where." replied Ethan, playfully giving Tony a shove in the chest.

Nick rolled his eyes in a combination of exasperation and amusement, then pulled Tony back to his feet. "C'mon ya bastards," he said, grinning as he re-adjusted his pack, "Let's go find a bar and get smashed. We're not expected to be in L.A. until Friday. It's only Monday, so let's get drunk tonight, sleep it off tomorrow, and then hike into L.A. on Wednesday. We'll meet up with the others on Thursday to finalize our plans for the trip up North."

And with that, the three friends headed off in the direction of alcohol.

((Ok, I seriously don't know what to post right now. I need to meet up with someone in Joseph's Hill. I can't post much until then. For now, I'll just say I'm at some tavern or something with the guy I've been travelling with. That's all I got for now. Damn writer's block.))

((Same here, I got writer's block because I'm preoccupied with school though, tons of projects coming up, tests and papers and things I need to remember to do. Listen, I'll be posting once its all sorted out, maybe this weekend when I've got less on my mind, but don't expect much during the week. Apparently my creative part can't work when the remember shit part is active.))

((It's cool if you guys have writer's block. Better to post a few excellent posts then a shitload of assy ones. I myself am very occupied with school right now.

Anyway, let's do another quick little survey thingy. How do you all think the new topic is going so far?

I know it's a little early to be making decisions, but I'd rather know now when it's easy to start over, GOD FORBID, then like 20 pages later.

Toast tastes yummy.

That is all.))

I would have to say I enjoy this story.

It's a nice break from our usual intense stories where everything is happening fast. Here I feel like it's just the fun of writing instead of having to make an awsome scene. And it's nice to do something different so our ideas have time to relax from a certain topic. I'm not sure of all of you, but I don't like using something multiple times in a row because I run out of ideas since I'm always trying to "1-up" my previous post. So going a different direction gives me time to fill up my writing gas-tanks for the next story.

So far I like that we know a certain thing is going to happen, so that everyone isn't lost as to our point. Starting in the same general area also helps that we're together instead of the problem we had with everyone everwhere.

I also like how we've determined prior to starting most of the details of the story. Such as military status, world status, what is and isn't so to speak. This way people don't get too thrown off.

Though, if we get into an alien space shuttle I can say only one thing...Mass Accelerator Rifle (MA-R).

Well I only have 2 more school weeks (10 days) left of school, and I'd love to say it's all over after that, but...

With all this college aid stuff they keep throwin' at me I'm going to be staying at a local college for a week to see what it's like. Then I keep getting all these essays I have to fiish and send back to the people (Century 21 scholars and people like that), I have to go to confrences so they can see what I'm like. It's just alot of time, and I'd like to have some fun during the summer, but I doubt I'll have much time to do what I want.

But all in all I should be able to post MORE often than I am currently.

well i'm bored so i'll be writing a little more now me thinks.

Finn limped towards the fire, his hand grasped one of the revolvers just in case.He was watched by the inhabitants of the small settlement as he slowly lowered himself to the ground to bask in the warmth of the fire.
Some of the settlers left the fire and darted into their houses in fear of the newcomer, others cautiously watched from a distance.Finn noticed a couple of kids kicking a can around the fire,he turned away to stare into the fire.A few seconds later the can had hit finn in the head knocking his hat from his head,Finn slowly raised himself up and watched as the two kids darted behind a hut.An old man with a metal pipe fitted to be used as a walking stick slowly hobbled towards Finn.
"Pay no attention to them my friend, they're only kids"
"Indeed they are but it does not mean they should hurt the innocent"
The old man was taken aback by the newcomers accent.
"Ah,you are British. You are far from your home"
"There is nothing left of it unfortunately. It's just one big graveyard, the only ones that stayed were either scavangers or bandits"
Finn watched slowly as the two kids carefully peeked their heads out from the side of the hut.the old man spoke once more.
"Well my friend, there is room here at the fire and we can deal with that wound on your leg as well.We must look after our own in a time like this, ever since the invaders came the world just hasn't been the same.I fear they'll come back one day and they'll stay."
"The human race is a dying breed.Still we were made for survival,if they do indeed come again they shall not win this planet so easily."
Finn cringed in pain as his wound once again started to bleed.
"Please my British friend, let us deal with that wound before it is untreatable"
Finn followed the old man into a hut were there were shelves filed with bottles and battered trays concealing rusted untensils. The old man reached into a drawer and pulled out a handfull of what semed like bandages but were actually the rememnants of a duvet cover.Finn lifted his jenas up and the man slowly tended to the wound.
"Do not think it rude of me but how did you aqquire this wound?"
"Bandits,at the coastline. They threatened me but quickly retreated after their leader fell to one of my bullets"
"Yes,there are many bandits. Many of them lurk in the city no more than five miles from here.Of course there are certain indiviuals such as yourslef that keep order. But their numbers are steadily growing."
Finn thought to himself. He was useless without a cause, maybe this ha his chance to do something.
"Five miles away you say?,well i think that should be my next destination.I don't want my guns to rust from not using them."
"Your guns will not rust my friend, that i can tell you."
Finn jumped from the table and shook the old mans hand.
"i thank you for your kindness,it is a rare thing in this day and age"
"I hope my kindness does not go unseen.i trust if we need help you would aid us?"
"Of course,we must like you said stick together.i was wondering if i could trouble you for transportation to the city?"
"Luckily i have the perfect thing.Though it need not gas or be tended to quite as much,do not forget to feed it"
The old man whistled to the other settlers outside. The two slowly left the hut,Finn smiled as he stared at a beautiful black stallion.
"thank you,i again thank your kindness.

finn slowly walked over to the stallion and stroked it's neck.He grabbed the saddle and lifted himself onto the back of the horse. He grabbed the reigns and flicked them, the horse started to dash out of the settlement towards the smoke of the city.finn shouted to the townsfolk.
"i thank you,if you need help i shall return and i thank you once more"

Finn rode towards the city and the settlers soon lost sight of him.The horseman and his steed he would call "Fear" would hopefully meet others ready to change the fate of the human race.

((Hey guys, it's me. You veterans may remember me.

Slaps got into a car crash last week and was nearly killed. He broke both his hands, one of his legs, and his back. He's all beat-up, and is still in the hospital. He'll be out of it for a while, maybe a long while. I don't know when he'll be able to walk again.

I thought I would tell you guys, so you don't go on wondering where he went off to. Nice to see y'all again.))

Shit, what the hell happened? Was the guy drunk driving or something? Regardless, thank you for the information, I hope he gets better soon, thank God he wasn't killed!

On a much lighter I think I may be breaking out of my writers block, I tried writing for this again and, though I dropped it, I got further than usual, maybe because a few of my big end of the year projects and tests are out of the way. I imagine the more I get done the closer I will come to getting out of it completely, so don't be surprised when I FINALLY get to posting, though don't expect it to happen too soon either.

((I believe that the person that hit him was going about 70 when he ran a red-light and smashed into Slaps car, driver side. The person was about 15, driving with-out a parent which is require by law out here if you have a drivers permit. That person walked away with next to no wounds and little remorse. That's all I know. I would have been in the car with him if he hadn't of offered to go alone.

You seem like the shit, by the way. I envy your skill.))

Jesus . . . well, whats in the past is in the past, its happened. I am not pissed at the kid for walking away in the manner that he did, just . . . disappointed. Regardless, we can now only hope and pray that Slaps has a speedy and painless recovery.

That sucks, well tell "Slaps" (lol, sorry just found it funny that this serious manner and we all still use alius') that I hope he recovers soon. Also that we're all waiting for him to recover. My cousin was hit by a 17yr old kid with his mom they were going 45 when they hit my cousin who had fallen. My cousin rolled a few yards and had to have multiple skin graphs. The area between both his legs was split open fron the bottom of his scrutum to his anus. Needless to say the kid, nor his mom had licenses or any form of insurance...

So hope he gets well soon, and we're all rootin' for him.
