In some of my movie clips, the paintbrush and eraser tool don't aren't working like they're supposed to. Instead they're filling/erasing the space between the lines i draw. I tried restarting flash and that didn't work, so is there some strange option that i cant find, which is causing the problem?

Go to the eraser tool, and there is cricle with a stange looking line in it, in the tool panel (after you click the eraser). Set the erase to "normal", not erase between lines.

It is set to normal. So something else is the problem.

try drawing your images outside the symbols, it's better and easy to draw outside the symbol. then convert your drawing with your layers into a graphic symbol.

It's not always better. Not better in this case except for the strange bug i'm having, but this is a first.
