I know as of late I've been hearing about 25 year olds, 30 year olds etc who still live with their parents. I think there was even a movie and a few reality television shows made out of it. So I asked my mom what she said. So apparently once I get a fulltime job, I'll pay rent and board, but she won't kick me out. I don't think that I could live with my mom for that length of time.

Would your parents give you the boot, or make you pay room and board? You going to be a moocher forever? When is the best time to break free from your parents?

My dad is very conservative, so he of course told me that I'm getting kicked out when I am done with college. For the time being, though, I can come back home for breaks when I'm not at the school.

Shouldn't be a problem, though, once I finish with this degree program I'll have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and be making 50k a year at Boeing.

My parents would make me pay the rent of course, but they would let me live there. Of course, I don't WANT to live with them for my entire life, so none of this is relavent.
Besides, they already have plans to move somewhere warm as soon as I decide to move out (and they're not giving me an address)

Haha I'm actually a little embarrassed that someone else can answer that for me ><

But basically, yeah. Parents have always been way too uptight about the computer, and we've faught over it for as long as I can remember. And it's just ended up degrading the entire relationship. It's not like I ask for much else, and I'm a fairly good kid and it's not like there's any real reason to punish me, so I've gotten really pissed on their stubbornness on the issue. Now I just use a paper clip to replace the antenna my parents took and I can be on the internet as much as I want without them knowing I can actually be online. ;)

It's the default punishment for anything and everything, big or small. I've never had a punishment that wasn't directly related to the computer (or video games in the past). What's even more frustrating is that when I try to go by the rules, they always end up changing what the rules even are and I get punished anyways. So I've had it with playing it straight, and I'm just a 1337 hackzor.
