the crazy people over at WUNH cleared me for my time slot;
I'm now officially a DJ at a sizeable college radio station.
I've decided to use this opportunity to help out my fellow AudioPortal musicians,
and I'm doing basically the same thing over at SoundClick.
Here's the deal:
you guys submit to me your best tracks (one per person per week)
and I'll play my favorite of the week on the show
in a segment that will be called...
well, I haven't thought of a name yet.
(I'm open to suggestions)

So, unless this thread is in violation of some rule I have forgotten about,
let's get those requests rollin'!

congratz there, mate.
I noticed this post and thought you'd have gotten some major club gigs, but you was talking about radio gigs. Develope your skills on the college radio and then apply for club gigs, for clubs rock. And remember...You're there to please the listeners. Many dj's make the mistake of ONLY playing what they, themselves, like to hear, instead of actually finding out what is hip and what people want to hear.

I have a widely-sweeping taste in music,
so I'll be playing everything from folk to techno to rock to jazz to...
well, you get the idea.
I don't see any reason not to rely on my own judgement when it comes to the music I play, though,
especially when we're a non-commercial station (no top 40s and the like)
otherwise, that's what requests are for.

Forgive me for making up the rules as I go along here;
I've decided I'll take 10 track submissions per week,
and, starting this week (my show is on wednesdays... for now), new submissions will start on Thursdays at 5:00 pm (unless that's a problem for a significant number of people).
Also, no swearing. If your song has swearing, I will have to censor it manually, which is no fun, and will probably cause me to not choose your track to play.

As always, I am open to suggestions.
