ok here's the deal with the 80s metal song. i can't get the riff to sound a 80s as i want it to due to my limitations in eqin'. would anybody be willing to eq my guitar track to make it sound like an 80s metal riff?

i read the first 4 pages before i got eye fatigue, but if i may contribute...

i'm currently doing a "one man band" project that's a blend of organic and synthetic. i record guitars over synth drums/bass/etc (using FruityLoops). i then put it on a CD or MP3 player. i perform live, right along side "full" bands, by playing the recorded stuff over the PA system, and singing over it (much like rap artists do). i try to make the live show a full production, instead of just a musical exhibition. if you want to see what i'm talking about, you can go to www.lascivial.com.

i'm not into the idea of an online collaboration, but my setup could easily be used as such. i think the idea is totally feasable.

incidentally, if there's anyone reading this from the Northern Viriginia/DC area, i would love to put a full band together.

Well I play bass (new at) and drums, but I do not have a set at this time. I'm okay I suppose. Basic beats really. I'm trying to learn to do 3 things at once right now. Maybe a Fellow drummer could give tips.
