How do I get reason to detect my yamaha keboard presses? Help would be appreciated.

i don't use reason but my guess, since midi is like a universal language, is that you havta change the midi input to your keyboard and not an internal source. and if you've already done that, make sure that all the drivers for it are installed properly.

1: Plug keyboard in using midi cables

2: Ensure the controller is turned on, plugged in under its own power

3: Navigate Edit>Preferences

4: Select 'Control surfaces and keyboards' in the drop-list box.

5: Click 'Add'

6: Set the manufactuer to 'other'

7: Select 'basic midi keyboard'

8: In the drop-list box entitled 'MIDI input', select the midi input that your keyboard is plugged into. Alternatively, you can click the 'find' button to detect the keyboard.

If it all works, you should get a green arrow in the 'attached surfaces' window, and the keyboard should function as a controller.
