Confused About mp3 Player...

I just got a 1-GB mp3 player for my birthday when I celebrated (a day early) with my mom (parents are divorced) and I uploaded a few songs to it from her laptop while I was at her apartment.

It worked then, but not now. Now that I am at my house, I plugged it into my USB port and opened 'My Computer'. For some reason, the "SanDisk" icon didn't appear, so I can't add/ remove any of the items on there. I re-read the instruction manual and I checked Google.

So does anyone have an mp3 player that could help me?

P.S. any failure to fully read this thread will result in an immediate e-kick to the nuts.

I dunno man, I would suggest checking the SanDisk website and run the troubleshoot. I had an iRiver, but it wouldn't take any songs from my computer back at home (where almost all of my songs are) and only from my laptop (where only about 700 are). So I said fuck it and bought an iPod.

No, I use Bearshare. But that's not what I mean. There's an icon that doesn't appear (when it should) in My Computer.

Well I don't know what an "OS" even is.

Anyway, I got it. I feel like a dumbass. I forgot Mom installed the little disk it came with before I downloaded them. Thanks.
