Hello fellow oblivion players... I have a problem with my game working on my mac under Virtual PC. Please read this post if you have any technical knowledge about the setup of this game (or if you feel you want to offer advice.. or whatever..)
I have a G5 macintosh computer, 1.8 ghz, 1 gigabyte of RAM, using an nVIDIA vendor, with a GeForce FX 5200 graphics chip. (Under Virtual PC I use 512 megabytes of RAM, Oblivion's supposed requirement, due to the limit on the machine.)
I am trying to use Virtual PC (with Windows XP Pro) to play the windows game "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion". I have successfully installed the required software DirectX 9.0c and the Oblivions game itself. For some reason, when I press the "Play" button on the pop up menu for Oblivion, the menu disappears and and error window appears saying:
"This error report includes: information regarding the condition of Oblivion when the problem occurred; the operating system version and computer hardware in use; your Digital Product ID, which could be used to identify your license; and the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer."
This error is actually the message under the "Reporting Details" section and not the first thing in the window that shows up, but the point remains the same that the virtual pc thinks I have some error included in the pc's error prompt. I have no clue as to why this game won't work.
