Bush really isn't that stupid, he acts like it, and he's a bit of a Texas hick, but he's not stupid. And OBL is probably dead anyway, and if not he'll probably be laying low for the next couple of years.

Just because we've turned our immediate attention to Saddam doesn't mean we've forgotten about Osama. The problem is that he is just flat out hard to find. I think it's safe to say that he is no longer in Afghanistan. There are any number of countries where he could have gone, and, as mentioned above, he could be dead. I think that we will eventually find him.

He is in the safest spot he could ever find : Pakistan. The US isnt going to do jack with a nuclear armed country. And Pakistan isnt going to give up OBL because most of its citizens are just like him.

Think kremlorn is quite right, and anyway if they get OBL they could cill him but somebody else will take over and most surely will take revenge...

I think whitedragon has a point. Bush is playing the harmless simpleton so he can push his agendas under the public radar. I would even go as far to say that dead or not bush is going to try to use the “hunt for osama” and “war on terror” to secure another term.
