it's stupid. Hunting I'm pretty much against, but if people want to hunt it's ok as long as it's a instant or near instant fatality and it's done in zoned areas, but clubbing seals? They even kill the fucking babies!

no, they don't it is illegal to kill the baby seals (the ones with the white coats)

the seals are clubbed and killed nearly instantly, they must be checked to see if they are alive, the hakapik (the club they use) is more effective and quicker than a rifle so i dont see how its so inhumane.

How is it not inhumane? You're killing thousands of innocent animals just to look good with their fur on your back.

seal meat is edible and sold, i wish i knew where though.

It's stuff like this where i just say "they're just animals". Altho i dont really agree with clubbing an animal for no reason; why not just a bullet to the head? But it's not something i would get bent out of shape about tho.

You have to. There are to many Seals for the ecosystem and they are quite brutal.

We have seals in Cape Cod Bay and we've lost unexpected swimmers that have come upon them.

People still seem to think that there like rabbits.

interestingly enough a club is more efficient and quicker method of killing as opposed to the rifle.
