I was trying to decided between the two actually. I ended up with Bends, but I might buy OK Computer some other time if I really like them enough.

So I just want to know all of y'alls general major band taste. Anyone who reads this just tell me your top 3 favorite bands and why. The reason why is big... Otherwise it's just rambling lists of bands.

I'm gonna exclude the ska bands and the like for this crew.

The first I would have to say for alternative are the Barenaked Ladies, I can't remember the first time I heard of them. I'm sure it was their famous One Week song. But they rocked pretty hard and I liked them, they were SO funny when I saw them on some random show, but never bothered to look into them, at the time listening to rap and music with cursing was the "IN" thing to do. :/ These guys are pretty underrated for a popular band too, The first thing people think when they hear them is the One week song, followed by Pinch me and if i had a million dollars.

The second I have to say the Arctic Monkeys. I loved all the songs off the Whatever People Say I Am album and it was all very catchy. Im gonna get another album by them one day.

The final would be The Paddingtons. Their debut album is really good, and like AM I loved all their songs. I really like their style.

Ok I attempted to make an epic CD. 80 minutes of awesome.

Yes I don't have Wolf Parade on their, oops. I do love them but for some reason they just don't fit.

Yes there is awesome music that I do not have on here, but it is for the soul reason that if I want another song on here, I have to get rid of another (my apologies Sufjan Stevens and Architecture in Helsinki).

HERE WE GO

01. Modest Mouse - Classy Plastic Lumber
02. Death Cab For Cutie - Blacking Out The Friction
03. The Decemberists - Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect
04. The Hives - Main Offender
05. Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood
06. Animal Collective - Derek
07. Menomena - The Pelican
08. The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
09. Radiohead - Karma Police
10. Interpol - Obstacle 1
11. The Unicorns - I Was Born (A Unicorn)
12. Nirvana - Lithium
13. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! - Over and Over Again (Lost and Found)
14. Modest Mouse - Convenient Parking [Yes, they are here twice...]
15. Agent Orange - Bloodstains
16. Of Montreal - Faberge Falls For Shuggie
17. The Flaming Lips - The W.A.N.D.
18. The White Stripes - Conquest
19. The Who - Helpless Dancer
20. Cold War Kids - Robbers
21. Oh No! Oh My! - A Pirate's Anthem [favorite Austin band... respect]
22. Destroyer - Painter In Your Pocket

And there you have it. Just remember this list is from opinion... I just burned it :)

1. Muse

I owe them for getting me heavily into the right kind of music (THIS KIND!), before I found them I had no music taste really besides liking anything that sounded good. I'll always love Matt Bellamy, in my eyes he is Godlike just as much as Freddie Mercury was. I rememer seeing a video for a Muse song back when I was like 14/15 I'm sure, and I was interested in it but had no idea what I was listening to as I never listened to alternative before. Then it was a wait of a few years until I really got into them when I first heard "Time Is Running Out". Funny thing was I was advised by my Hip Hop loving mate to listen to it! So I brought "Absolution" and I must of listened to it every night when I walked my dog (skipping a couple of different songs on different nights) for probably a month. Still my favourite album, I never tire of it, but after that month, I brought the other albums and loed them since.

Favourite Song: The Small Print

2.

TV On The Radio

I've thought about this a lot, and I could easil or not added them at all, but I truly adore how original and unique they do sound. Every song sounds different yet great. I was thinking of getting them off the list purely because I've only to listened to like 12 songs from them, I've still yet to download more. I fell in love with the song "Wolf Like Me" which a Canadian friend online sent me and I was instantly hooked.

Favourite Song: Dreams
3.

Bloc Party

Well they had to be in here somewhere. Back when "Silent Alarm" first came out, I heard a lot about these guys in NME and for some reason I didn't like the sound of them, never listened to that album, then a bit after that, they made a new song "Two More Years", I loved it, and slowly I got myself into their earlier released singles, then it wasn't until the release of "A Weekend In The City" that I REALLY got into them and then the previous album. I adore them.

Favourite song: SRXT

So I've been listening to this band called Blood Red Shoes. I find them strangely reminiscent of DFA1979, but kind of a british version. Might not be all that Indie, but surely they are Alternative.

Thought you guys might appreciate it, so here's there myspace.

I think he means what bands you currently enjoy, also if you've already bought stuff off iTunes, they have a "Just for You" section in the front page of the store. Check that out.

Sick of Muse? Muse is classic. If you get sick of it, then don't listen to them for a while. Come back three or four months from now, and you'll wonder how you ever stayed away. lol. But I agree with Bloc Party. Not really big fans of there's.

I was infatuated with TV's "Wolf Like Me" for the longest time. Lately I've been into more of Dirty-Whirl mood.

I haven't listened to Muse of my own will for at the very least a year.

It comes on when I put my iTunes on random every so often, but I usually just click through to the next song.

Ah! Blood Red Shoes are an amazing band. I have actually had the pleasure of seeing them 3 times and meeting them briefly. You can really tell they absolutely love performing their music. When I saw them most recently in a rather small venue there was a stage invasion. Great fun =P.

Bump?

Look's like I'm joining. I've recently generated a interest in alternative rock and was looking for a crew so I guess here it is!

I'm really digging rhcp, coldplay, weezer, cake, and radiohead right now.

Anyone got any good reccomendations on what I should check out?
