If you don't appreciate someone's taste in music, by all means, speak your mind, but just dont hurl baseless generalisations at them. You're not a sellout for listening to Green Day, you dont slit your wrists because you listen to My Chemical Romance. You're just a bit wierd.

This is a place to discuss the merits of indie and alternatives, not the shortcomings of rap and hip hop or whatever doesnt float your boat.

Last.fm, a great website. I recommend that you go there and get an account. It'll help people understand your taste in music more.

I'm going to Lollapalooza which is a festival with about 130 bands on 8 stages... There are all genres... I'm also going to Warped Tour which is the same deal as Lollapalooza but with different bands... And i'm also going to the Flipside Festival which is once again the same deal...

I love indie. The Shins are my favorite of the genre, followed by bands such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse, Badly Drawn Boy, and many others.

However, there are some bands I just can't get into, like Bright Eyes and Interpol.

There not dark. Kind of up beat. They sound like nothing i ever heard.

at the moment, i'm listening to the rakes, and louis XIV, which bbm got me into :)
the rakes though are the best band around.

Aaaah, Mystery Jets - Making Dens finally arrived. It's quite possibly the greatest indie/alternative album since The Kooks - Inside In, Inside Out, which is in turn the greatest indie/alternative album since Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand.
