Cop Shoots White Supremacist

The story's quite interesting. The jury wanted to let him go, but he admitted to it and found guilty of voluntary manslaughter...I know I wouldn't have convicted him! He shot a murderer (who killed his pregnant girlfriend and this cop's partner) who could have easily killed him by reaching for his .357 magnum...

Another reason why guns should be illegal....but anyway, I side with the cop in this one.

Look at this! It makes me happy that people recognize that the cop did the right thing:

This isn't a reason for less guns, it's a reason for more death penalty.

A single cop is not the law, he shouldn't have taken it into his own hands.

A year behind bars is nothing. Killing a known murderer shouldn't be as highly punished as killing an innocent civilian, but it's still wrong, and leads to a path that's just as bad as being a murderer.

I think it's a perfect irony to do to them exactly what their leader (Hitler) wanted them to do to others. Thye should be systematically exterminated. Fate should NEVER go without a sense of irony......

Here, it was the other way around. The "rednecks" all handled their firearms properly, and passed the field tests with flying colors. There was only one person in my class of 40 that failed, and he was clinically diagnosed as mentally handicapped.

But the test asks things like, can you shoot your firearm in city limits? what times can you shoot your firearm? and they have no idea because they shoot at their pregnant girlfriends at any time of the day.

The guy was handcuffed, the cop should face the consequences, keeping in consideration the events surrounding the shooting.

Oh, and for the person who said it was "only a year." For a cop? I imagine a year in prison might be a tad unbearable.

Although I don't like all supremacists, the fact is that the cop killed someone. I say he should be put away.

I would prefer that the supremacist was disarmed and detained, not shot and killed. Yeah, the cop's considered a hero, but no one has the right to take away the life of another. The only reason to shoot to kill someone is if it is the only option, not because the criminal hurt and/or killed the people you care about. It's more like a vendetta than justice.

Actually, I think he deserves alot more then a year. Tying a guy down in cuffs and blowing his brains out while his 3 year old daughter is sitting thier crying and begging "don't shoot my daddy" is dispicable. In my oppinion, executing an unarmed person ever is bad, but when thier 3 year old daughter is there begging for his life? That's fucked up. Not to mention the fact that he sat there and lied to everyone about what happened, claiming the guy still had the opportunity to shoot him (a crime unto itself).

Yea, that's a BRILLIANT fucking idea. Here's an obviously unstable individual, one who obviously hates minorities. Let's take his fragile little mind and snap it by making him black. He's close to insane and already horribly violent. What do you think will happen when he finally snaps? Dead bodies everywhere perhaps?

Sounds to me like the officer snapped. The badge doesn't strengthen his mind. I mean, comeone, the guy saw a scene that probably would've caused any normal person to have a nervous breakdown. He may be harder than us mentally, but he's still human. He'll live with this for the rest of his life, and believe it or not, he did everyone a favor by wiping this scum from the Earth. Punish him yes. A year in jail....far too much.

All I can say....is that poor little girl. How horrible. Probably scarred for life.

This is unfortunetly what happens when you get a person not devoid of humanity holding a prisoner who has killed people close to him, I have to say the Law is the Law, the cop should not have shot him when he had him in custody, that is illegal and I must say if you support this you are effectivly supporting abuse of human rights, I cannot stress strongly enough that I find that this cop has been seen as any kind of hero, He's there to SERVE AND PROTECT; i.e serve the Law and protect the people, you cannot kill someone based on your judgement, people who understand the Law are only alowed to do that.

While the cop's not a hero, he certainly had a reason to snap. This crazy Nazi shot his partner in the head and shot the pregnant girlfriend with the daughter watching! I would convict him of manslaughter, yeah, but put him in minimum security and retire him.
