The new game (known only as "Ye Olde Sidescroller" at the moment) is coming along great and will be tons of fun. Our next public demo will be at Comic-Con this July in San Diego. We're still keeping a lot of info about the game under wraps, but you can see some bits and pieces from my trip to France last December. The development schedule is grueling and I will be maintaining AIM silence for the next few months, I need the IQ points.
At least give us a few preview shots. We are your adoring public, we need to keep our interest up!
Next week I'll be flying out to San Jose for the IGF, where Dad 'n Me is nominated for web game of the year! You can go vote for Dad 'n Me on Gamespot! Dan, Dustball, Edmund and the XGen gang will all be there!
I've voted for it, not because you and Dan wrote it, but because it really warrants the award, as it's frankly awesome
I heard if I set the frame rate over 30fps, it will actually run faster in browsers - sorry I haven't experimented with that yet.
Mad Doctor Tom, I suggest you do!
My friend Bob is joining the team at the end of March. Bob was editor of our college paper at Drexel and has publishing experience that could be useful for NGMag some day. His main role in the immediate future will be CSS programming. We decided that Stamper should focus on visualization, James should focus on database integration while Wade and I should focus on conceptualization and a million other things, so Bob will be doing the implementation to turn Stamper's designs into clean, crisp CSS code. This should streamline our whole development process and ensure we launch new features in a more timely manner. LOL
Welcome Bob, are you entirely sure you are ready to associate yourself with this group of maniacs? (With reference to the wall demolition video, has Stamper prepared an initiation for Bob?)
Things are moving along smoothly with the office. We tore out a few more walls to open up space (sorry, no video like last time).
See the above comment.
Now that we can get some fresh air in the apartment, we need to strip the peeling wallpaper and repaint the walls to make it all pretty. Then we need to get a couch bed so we can accomodate more visitors at one time.
Newgrounds inviting guests? When can I get an invite?
We still haven't removed the old owner's sign or made a new one for NG. I have to meet with a fancy sign fabricator and get on top of that soon. All this craziness makes it hard to breath right sometimes; I feel like I've been in nonstop motion forever. I need to get a larger fridge in the office so we can start stocking beer.
Guests? and a bar? This sounds like my perfect hotel. How much do Pizzas cost, I'll book myself on the next flight to Philly.
