Differences b/t Flash 8 and MX 04?

What are the main differences between them?

If I install the trial for Flash 8, will it overwrite my older flash?

My most important question is this: How different is Actionscript? If I have a book to teach me Actionscript for Flash MX will it work for Flash 8?

If you have MX 2004, you really dont NEED to switch. Flash 8 helps with better looking effects using its filters, some new action script, and it can handle lag much better. And no, if you install the trial, it will not overwrite your previos program. But be sure to save everything in MX 2004 format before the trial ends or you will be left with a bunch of files that you cant use because you dont have 8 anymore.

flash 8 = GOOD
MX = only alright...

AS whies it its the same execpt bitmap stuff hanvt played with that much : (
but the drawing side of it its alot smoother

I just tested it and man, it was awesome :D I loved the smoother drawings and more effects <3

Don't bother getting 8 if you already have 7. 6 and 7 still do the job perfectly fine, 8 just has some new features like filters. Its not such a big change worth buying, wait and save up your money, maybe 9 will make all the others obsolete.
