It does sound good. The area in Maine that I live in is nice, and I don't often travel to other parts in this country, so I'm not exposed to how "bad" America can be.

I've been! It's a great place for hiking. Nice people too in my experience. But I stayed away from cities

I'm with you on that one, if there's one major downside to being in the UK its those bleeding happy slapping hoodrats. Its like evolution decided to just skip a major part of a lot of cities in the UK, i'll rephrase that, it skipped a major part of just about everywhere you go now. I never knew that many people could get enjoyment from breaking anything in sight while simutaniously drinking cheap cider and spitting at the old folk.

Well I'm originally from Scotland and living in England. And I have to say crumpets rule. A nice hot crumpet with butter spreaded across it. Yum. Oh, even though I'm from Scotland and have a lot of family there and go there for weddings and such like, I've never wore a kilt. I just couldn't do that.

First of all you were LATE! for WWI, secondly have you ever heard of the battle of britain? no? well thats when the RAF bitchslapped the luftwaffe and stopped nazi germany dead in its tracks. The british army was already smashing the africa korps to pieces by the time america joined us in north africa, and with all the commonwealth troops britain had at its disposal, it could of probably beaten the axis powers on its own, america only helped to speed things up.
