I fail to understand where you get the notion that America hates England. War vets in Illinois put the British flag alongside the American flag in their memorial demonstrations, girls dig the English accent, you gave us Monte Python and a long list of good actors, and if you are basing this notion of hatred off of the BBS, keep in mind that the majority of BBS people are probably liberal and they hate anything and anyone that has helped Bush and our country in these troubled times. But overall, England is in high standing with us from what I have seen in the real world.

No I don't think they hate us. I was there for only 4 months and I recieved nothing but kindness and friendship. Sure, theres general mocking, thats all about what friendship is, being able to laugh at each other in good humor.
I'm pretty sure they hate France though. Thats probably why I liked them so much
Up the Clarets!
I hate England because the English hate us, and they continue to call us "stupid and fat rednecks" even though statistics show there are many European countries with higherobesity rates.
I heard Bush is very unpopular in Europe, but the Europeans love Michael Moore.

I'm so sick of these "Do you like me?" "Why don't you like us?" "Let's all discuss our feelings!" articles. For crying out loud, for one its been done a million times. And you can't just make a snap judgement about a whole group of people without actually going to the place where they are and meeting them first hand.

Some (emphasis on SOME) Americans hate England. That's due to stereotypes and them simply being uneducated assholes.
Some Brits hate Americans for the same reasons.
Some Canadians hate Americans for the same reasons, and Brits and Canada, and America and round and round.
Basically: I feel any "hate" is brewed out of ignorance and stereotypes from assholes. It's a worldwide dilemma too I might add.......
BUT, ALL Americans, Canadians, and Brits can agree on one thing:
We all hate France!

Actually it was quite true.
It was common in Victorian England to put bleach on your teeth to make them more white.
And since this rots your teeth out of your mouth.
I only wonder how this got gentically passed on.

I dont know of anyone who hates England. I wanted to go there as a forign exchange student and I had a British teacher who was the coolest man to ever walk the planet. I think the majority of Americans like Britian. I dont really know of a reason to hate them.

America always has had a love/hate relationship with England.
the U.S, Canada, the UK, and Australia are really all part of one family. Albiet, a very dysfunctional and psychotic one.

I am from America, and the people i know (along with myself) do not hate the British people. In fact, we love the British. So i ask you this, where is your proof of America hating the United Kingdom?

You know, the biggest pool of allied soldiers for fighting the War on Terror ARE British soldiers.
Three reasons to like the British:
1. They produced John Locke
2. London is MUCH nicer than Paris (and the people are much nicer as well)
3. Marks and Spencers...what more can I say?
