Artist Needed!

Hello everybody! I am in the process of creating a game, but i want this to be a good game, so i need an artist, beacuse i am not very good at art. I can do decent thing, but not what i have in mind. I need an artist who can draw well, and listens to what i say for I know what i need drawn. Your name will be put in the credits and you will be credited as a co-author.

Now lets move on to what i actuly need drawn! I need quite some things, for example: a cool-looking dragon, the main charecter- a teenage boy dressed as a demon slayer, and towns folk and a multitude of demons. I will probaly need more things, but then again i might not. As for the game itself, i will be codeing it, and setting everything up.

To get choosen, you will have to post your best work, and I will grade it. The person with the best grade will be choosen. The deadline for posting your work is in two days time, so you have time to draw somthing. The deadline will be increased if less than 10 people show me thier work.

Once somone is choosen, i will go over the games concepts and story with them so they understand what we need to do.

so you requesting an artist for a game, have any example of your work?, and dont tell me that you cant with an artist becouse we have a lot of good actionscripters here that arent of the artist type and yet have some damn good submissions.

hmmm, well i might do the art myself then, but I really wanted this to be a great game! I just cant draw, but ive got all the code i need for it, and the idea is totaly complete. Damn, I wish i was a good artist though! I just tried this beacuse I love making games, but i dont want this one t be ruined be some shitty art. I could do some art, though, just not thngs like the charecters. I could do weapons, but DEFENETLY not the charecters.

Why don't you create a sample of your work and show us?

It doesn't have to look fancy. Go on google, grab a few premade images like this knight,dragon, and background then code a sample level/round whatever. Drawing can take a good hunk of time. If people know you can actionscript, I'm sure they will be glad to draw for you.

You think a good artist is going to make a commitment to helping you without knowing anything of your ability as a scripter? If your game turns out to be rubbish then that's a lot of time wasted for that person.

well, ive finished the menu with instuctions and everything. all im asking for is a small drawing, to get an idea of what i want, watch fanal fantisy A+, and in the battle scenes, all the charecters looked small-ish. i was hopeing to see somthing like pensuke in black armor, you know? just 5-10 drawings, hardly any of your time! come on!!

Everyone in this thread has told you, repeatedly, that you need to show a sample of your work. SO SHOW A SAMPLE already, or nobody will want to work with you.

If you have most of the game done, you muct have put in filler graphics to check as you were making it to check if it works right? well just show us those! We'll see your coding skill ( if any ) and then we might be more inclined to work with you.
