You can barely call them drivers. All they really have to do is sit there and make sure nothing goes wrong, because: 1- they have cruise control so they don't need to have their foot on the gas pedal, 2- they are only driving in a circle, and the tires on one side of the car are larger than the ones on the other side so it turns for them, and 3- nothing really interesting happens in a nascar race.

personally im not a nascar fan, its more an american and canadian thing. ive watched it a few times, and it can be ok, but on the whole... if i wanted to watch stuff go in circles id look for something diff

i dunno, both are equal to me, as I have seen both for real, and watched them on tv for a fair few years

Agreed, i guess F1 represents the absolute pinnacle of what car engineers can achieve. But superbikes are a lot more physical. I know, lateral Gs in F1 are pretty badass, but i mean... getting sideways like that and feeling all that air around you... That's gotta be something.

Everyone forgets that NASCAR has infact, two road courses every year. (Infinion Raceway and Walkins Glen) Technically F1 and NASCAR are on very different technical levels because of different rules, regulations, etc. Not because Europeans are more advanced than us Yankees. (Anyone else got stealth airplanes? Anyone?) Sure, they go only go left most of the time, but the only two courses you go flat out are Daytona and Talladega. Every other course you have to break and every course is different. Also I don't know about you, but I think you gotta have brass balls and nerves of steel to go three wide into a left turn going 200 mph. I'm not trying to take anything away from F1, infact I perfer LeMans racing myself, I just think that NASCAR deserves a little more respect than it gets.
