By CURT ANDERSON
ASSOCIATED PRESS
WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 — Males age 16 and older from 18 countries who may have missed earlier deadlines to register with U.S. immigration authorities will get another chance to do so without fear of penalty, the government announced Thursday.
Quote of the day: @Nysssa "What is the word I want to use here?" @freakapotimus "Taint".

Glad to hear it, it's been depressing how much we've been clamping down on imigrants lately.

What the US government should do again is an amnesty period. A period of a month of two where all illegal immigrants come forward and are given their citizenships without fear of penalty so that the US can have an accurate census for once.

yeah, There's and INS office not too far from where I live, and I hear they're getting all the info they can, id, sigs, adresses, thumbprints, etc...
It's probably just a scheme to track terrorists here in the states.
I wonder how many they'll actually weed out.
