Really, make the game longer obviously a little more diverse with a few more things to do and it could even be better than Alien Hominid!

and if you didn't know my screenname, how would you do that from the frontpage with ease? everyone acts like there's some glaringly easy way, but a lot of these people are not familiar with the site.

they went pretty smoothly. i screwed up a couple times but they were each about 40 minutes long so i'm not broken up about it :)

yes, a lot of the people i was talking to used flash and did seem interested in getting more exposure.

(i take back what i said a little higher in the post there. i guess someone could click 'games' and go through that way. i didn't see it since the redesign. oh well!)

Glad to hear it, dude

Hope to see some new 'quality' faces popping up around the site because of it!

As both an animation and vg fanatic, I gotta know, Mr. P. Where did you and Tom Fulp learn to make your awesome games?
Alien Hominid is a very nontraditional (in a good way. I luved every minute of it) game in comparison to what is available on consoles currently. So this question has been eating away at me for a while.

That's very cool you got to speak at schools. I'd invite you to mine, but well... i don't go there anymore.
This is a definate trip down memory lane. The best part about this was the gameover screen, and hitting "play again" to beat your way back up :) Your menus are stylish.

Oh, and an anoying question, in the opening scene, with the house on the right, was that done in flash or paintshop pro? And I also presume the game over background was done out of flash also. Or am I wrong?

Wow, I just realised that i could find out xD. All the backgrounds (behind the fence), the grass and muddy patches (in-game), the entire menu (including buttons and startgame picture), the background of the intro and the background of the gameoverscreen were imported. Now i'm really interested in what program you used?

Yes, that's where I was aiming. It's a game, so you click on Games. It's a fighting game, so you click on Fighting Games. Find Dad 'n Me and you're off. In fact, you can just scroll down in the Games section and you'll see Dad 'n Me. It's really easy for anyone I think.

Dad N Me is about my adventures with my father.
He always molested me behind the lemonade stand when I was 5.
Those times were priceless.
So I wrote a book called Dad N Me !
It's a top seller in Iceland

most of the things i have learned have been from experience at studios working with teams. tom went to college, but i don't know if that's where he picked up on most of it. maybe he will post in here?

well, i'm not admitting 100% defeat on this one still. people get overwhelmed on websites easily, which is why lots of people show google as a great example. when you come to newgrounds there are about 35 things you can click on. some people just get overwhelmed and don't search. look at howard stern when he went to NG on his show "i can't figure out what i have to do on this site, there are a million things" or something. and just closed it.
