In Flash MX :
1. Go to the scene you want to delete. Make sure any 'stuff' in that scene you don't want to lose is in your library or in another scene.
2. At the top of the screen, go to 'Insert'
3. At the bottom of that drop-down, select 'Remove Scene' - confirm you want to delete it.
So Insert > Remove Scene
Easy...

I click the Insert thing but there's no 'Remove Scene'. Just 'New Symbol', 'Timeline', 'Timeline Effects', and 'Scene'

Like I said, this only works for Flash MX. If 'Insert' doesn't offer you a 'Remove Scene' option you probably have an older version of Flash. Upgrade...
Another way is click 'Window' at the top of the screen, then 'Scene'...
- A window will pop up showing you your scenes. Select the scene you want to remove and click the trash can icon to delete it...
Window > Scene > Trash Can

How do I upgrade?

If you have a legally owned, serial number backed version of Flash, the only way to upgrade is... buy the upgrade.

yes it's possible: go to 'window' then 'other panels' then click 'scene' in the 'scene' panel select the scene and click the paperbasket-thingy ( at least, that's how you can do it in flash 8 )
