Dammit, if it's true, then that means the quality and overall chillness of Alienware computers is going to plummet. And I'm allowed to knock Dell, as I own one :(

Actually, Alienware probably doesn't make much more than Dell does on computers. Alienware sells higher quality, so it costs more for both parties. Plus, Alienware probably isn't all that big because not a lot of people are willing to spend $3000+ on a computer.

Well personally, i have had both (dell as a family office computer and alienware as my old computer (i now have a compaq)). You may be against some things of Alienware and against some things of Dell, but there are good things about both, if they work together they can make one with the good things put together to make an even better computer than they do now. Look at it from a buisness point of view and Dell are making a good decision by buying it.
