Also take notice of the quoted user reviews in the weekly features. So it is not more important than ever to write a good quality review, and to use proper grammar and spelling. :) Doing this will improve your chances of being quoted on the front page of Newgrounds.com!

Seems like an interesting idea.

Is it going to appear on the main page every day? Most of the information seems to be available on the Portal page. This may be redundant for frequent NG visitors but it might be a great thing for people that visit NG less frequently and especially for new visitors. On a similar note, you could have a page that lists Past Daily Top 5's (unless it already exists and I haven't seen it yet).

I like the "...following popular artists" section. Maybe this section can be expanded somehow. e.g. feature artists from different movie categories (comedy, action,...).

There seems to be lots of cool changes coming to NG. Keep up the good work!

Well, the vast majority of NG visitors come through the front page, and many don't check out the portal. So if you were an author and made it into the Top 5 and we only listed you on the portal you wouldn't get near the exposure the front page would give you. Last I checked Newgrounds.com's main purpose is to give exposure to our authors. Also the weekly update is much larger than the Daily update.
