I've had many problems with my computer in the past, but this one's by far the weirdest - my internet doesn't work for anything, except for surfing on Newgrounds! I'm not joking - it doesn't even find google or msn, but it finds everything in Newgrounds with no problem. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm guessing it's spyware, but Ad aware can't find anything. Norton Antivirus can't either.

It's because you're using Norton Anti-Virus.

Could be problems with DNS.
Win XP - Sometimes the DNS Service shuts down then you have to start it.
Or you have entried an own DNS Server adress at you Internet options of your system or of your browser then you have to delete this adress or entry a valid one.
There could be some reasons more but i don't know them all...

I was just about to say that exact same thing. In all seriousness, disable Norton AV/Internet Security autoprotect then try again.

You didn't need to do the "no caps lol rofl" thing, on account of the entire first two goddamn thirds of your post was capitalized regularly. You're now officially not worth anything, leave please

Furthermore:

blah blah etc

This is not only a completely made up way of dealing with DNS cache issues, it's obviously not his problem on account of he can access Newgrounds. If he was having a problem resolving domains, he couldn't access anything without entering an IP address.

Maybe if I had used firefox this wouldn't have happened... but it's too late now right? :P

Hmm... what's DNS?

And I disabled Norton antivirus and it still doesn't go anywhere other than Newgrounds o.o;;

Yes, for sure. But it could be a reason for problems like this one.
I had familiar probs with my i-Net and WLAN and every time it was the craziest things wich sucked my PC, WinXP or I-Net. The most fucking weird props i've got with my WLAN.

I hate this shit but cant live without my PC-Drugs^^

:: Hmm... what's DNS?

The Domain Name System or Domain Name Server (DNS) is a system that stores information associated with Domain Names in a Distributed Database on networks, such as the Internet. The domain name system (Domain Name Server) associates many types of information with domain names, but most importantly, it provides the IP address associated with the domain name. It also lists mail exchange servers accepting e-mail for each domain. In providing a worldwide keyword-based redirection service, DNS is an essential component of contemporary Internet use.

DNS is useful for several reasons. Most well known, the DNS makes it possible to attach hard-to-remember IP addresses (such as38.119.130.61) to easy-to-remember domain names (such as "www.newgrounds.com") Humans take advantage of this when they recite URLs and e-mail addresses. Less recognized, the domain name system makes it possible for people to assign authoritative names, without needing to communicate with a central registrar each time

Clear your cookies, history and cache first off.

Secondly, download Avast! AntiVirus and do a full system scan.

Following this, do a full system scan with Ad-Aware SE, and if you don't have Spybot: Search & Destroy, download it and do a scan with that after the Ad-Aware scan.

Then if that doesn't solve your problems, try resetting your router and modem, by holding down the reset button and/or turning it off, waiting about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.

If it STILL doesn't work, and you're using wireless, right-click the little monitor button in the system tray, and click Repair. It should repair the connection. If not, double click on the monitor icon, and disconnect from your current connection, wait about 30 seconds, and then reconnect.

After doing all this, download any or all of the following three top-notch, best browsers out there: Opera, Avant Browser, and Firefox.

Damn... I forgot to mention an important detail: my computer's part of a LAN with two other computers, and it isn't the host. The host and the other computer can surf normally in the web - the only one with this Newgrounds-only thing is mine! :(

I have a feeling that it's a file Ad aware can't dettect that's causing this... but if that's the case, how will I be able to tell which one it is?

Maybe I'll just have to hire a profissional to handle this...

Look at the post I just posted man, that should cover pretty much any basic to moderately advanced issue you're having.

Ok, but since I'm a complete ignorant I still have to know what are the following things:

- "wireless" (there are cables linking the router/modem/pcs, if that's what you mean :/ )
- monitor button
- system tray
