I think this new rating system is great and it lets us know which ones in NG are being appreciated or are very popular.

i know the Newgrounds has done some pretty cool stuff to make it better, but i dont really don't care for the ratings system..i wanna be surprised when i view a game/movie i dont wanna know i what im about to see, it's almost ESRB is rating newgrounds

Great Idea with the Rating System..at least we'll all know what to eXpect ;)

I like the new system, I just recommend making it a little smaller and putting it below the author's comments.

If you guys have your own movies you can fix the ratings for your movies by going to your Sign-in menu and selecting "Your Portal Submission" so you can edit the rating. Enjoy.

The new rating system is excellent. But if i can interject one small beef i have with it.

The difference between something being "Mild" and "Excessive" is far too great in my opinion... perhaps a "Moderate" option could work as a middle ground for the two. Just a thought.

Otherwise, another excellent addition to NG.

Hey Tom, I don't mind the rating system, but i think having an exp ranking is a bad idea...i meen, im like 432 in popularity, but when i look at exp...im like 8000 something!

Yeah, the coke ad pisses me off too - pops out of nowhere and blocks my browser window (some annoying ad just popped up as I was typing it). Domo-Kun has excessive nudity... lol! They fixed that - I just checked minutes ago and it was rated T for TEEN, with only mild violence.

I don't really care, but i can imagine others do, so the ratingsystem is cool ! I like the fact that you can now see what titles the movies have won.

No offense, but this is the stupidest idea I've seen in awhile. It's not like parents sit down with the kid whenever they head over to Newgrounds. The whole point of Newgrounds, before it started to seriously suck, was to find offensive humor, and not worry about any kids seeing it. If you are a kid, you shouldn't be at this site anyways. I think all the beastiality ads would give you some sort of hint at that.

The rating system is pretty good and i think it works.
But i've noticed that There still are flaws to it if something that i don't think is right slips past the rating?

Is that grounds for blowing the whestle on it?!!

I think all the older submissions had their rating based on common words and phrases in reviews. SOme of the "excessive nudity" and "mild violence" ratings make no sense on some of the submissions that have them.

I agree with you that the rating system has some flaws but it works beter than the Mpaa.

while i never really will use it. its nice to see that you are making small adjustments to fit different users needs. man....what a site this is turning out to be!
