Depends on your defenition. I actually bought the computer versions of some after my genesis broke. They are good games.

Its not about being a fanboy. For most of us, between 17-25 its pure history. I remember when I first played sonic on my sega megadrive, back in 1993 (maybe earlier), I was seven years old, and I remember loving that game. And I loved it until i got my PS2. Its about growing up with something. Ok, I can understand your statement, all these 13 year olds watch it on tv, or play the new 3D games. But the people who really care, are the people who grew up with it, like I did. I basically only love the original megadrive games, as far as I'm concerned, sonic in 3D is bullshit, its not the same. I still got my megadrive, its almost as old as I am, give or take 5 years. And occasionaly I do like to play it, because it brings back memory of a happy childhood, when gaming wasnt about graphics, it was about gameplay.

been playin sonic on sega since genesis, but that shit died with dreamcast. sonics locc. his old shows had him sayin cuzz to his man tails.

I getting tired of people thinking that games are for certain ages. Just because it's rated E dosen't mean only kids that age should play it. I don't know why you guy's have to play that filled with gore and violence. I like violence as much as the other guy but I don't have to have it to enjoy a game.

And if you ever see any of the game reviewers from GameSpot.com etc. they play "kiddie" games all the time and give a lot o them good ratings as a matter of fact. Obviosly these guys aren't kids. Besides certain video games don't belong to certain ages, look at GTA that is supposed to be played by 17 year olds and up yet you see little kids play them all the time!

Well, technicly(sp?), any cartoon made in Japan is anime. Are you referring to the old sonic show or the new Sonic X? And i don't care what you think, I grew up playing sonic, and I'll DIE playing sonic.

My parents bought it in their 20's when it came out, so I can't really say it is for kids.

I enjoy the series and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm 22 today since its my birthday. I have liked fads like Pokemon before but those all came and went, Sonic I still love. I admit thought Sonic Heroes and Shadow the hedgehog sucked, but honestly I haven't seen any sign of my kind of good gameplay to go with the graphics. The video games industry is for the most part going down hill to me.
SA and SA2 were awesome for 3d games, the old genesis ones I can never get sick of despite knowing where all the secrets are and how its so easy to beat. The genesis series is nice to beat when you don't have more than a couple hours to enjoy yourself.
As for the cartoons, SATam most interesting and different. Disney channel Sonic horribly cheap yet addictive. Sonic Underground, plot was lame, I didn't like it. Sonic X I love the art and animation, interesting storyline. My point there are good and not so good Sonic cartoons , same with the games. If its just for little kids why is a slutty character like Rouge the bat in it?

I would explain why me liking Sonic would prove you wrong but.......................................
