That Herceptin (i think thats how you spell it) could possibialy cure a certain type of cancer but why is the NHS so stingy about handing it out? yes it costs a lot. but you should'nt put a price on someones life should you.

For one, I believe you are thinking of this where several papers made overzealous titles claiming that Cervical cancer vaccine success which is a half truth at best.
The vaccine works by preventing women from contracting HPV which is the only known cause of cervical cancer. It is as much of a cure for cervical cancer as getting people to stop smoking is a cure for lung cancer.
