Wow I never knew Trent Reznor was a member of PETA. He always came across as a guy who was more about standing up against government / religious oppression, rather than someone standing up against the Chinese fur trade.

Remember back when he'd wear like leather jackets, pants, boots, gloves etc.? I guess that's why he now wears jean jackets, pants and regular cotton shirts.

Oh well, I've always identified more with the Trent Reznor when he was more angsty in his 20s more than when he's in his 40s.

I won't hate you, but i love animals this much, that i find this very disgusting. I've seen more of these videos. I have many animals (many kinds too) at my home, including cats and a dog, and when i see this...i just feel like grabbing a hammer and smash the screen, though i hope it will make sence to any others who see this clip. I can't see why noone does anything about this...but that's mentioned before, many times, so i'm one of the millions.

Anyway, good you show this to us, i hope some will see how horrible this is.

I hate most of the stunts that Peta and similar groups put on, like throwing paint at people and disturbing the peace. Even though we all know that wearing fur is bad, because of their antics, many people end up thinking Peta are the bad guys.

That video was pretty gross though, did you see that living cat looking at the skins of other cats? I don't care if kidnapping pets and skinning them is their culture, it is sick. I definately have lower respect for China, which was already low with all their gov't censorship. Maybe after Bush wipes out a few more middle eastern countries for no reason, and Bush "makes up" some law to stay in office, then we can finally hit a country that has it coming.

I wonder if leather coats are safe? I can't imagine them killing a cow and not using the meat too. I guess China doesn't see a difference between cows and cats. Eating meat is natural, but killing cats and dogs is pushing it...

Since when is it alright to kill some animals and not others... Cows, pigs, etc. are okay but we draw the line at cats ?? Nothing more than an attempt to further their cause with imagery that they know will evoke an emotional response in most people. This is just an example of typical propoganda tactics.

a) nice farming, free range chicken etc. Nice lives for chickens. Nice quality meat cos its not been bred in stressful conditions.

b) harsh farming, battery chickens. No care for the well being of the animals. Means more energy into producing more food, and the worlds a starving place.

The market forces that be will push BOTH angles at us. Organic meat, mmm tasty, morally safe, EXPENSIVE,

Battery meat, mmm tastes like chicken. morally unsound. CHEAP.

This is to accomodate both sections of the market, the rich, and richer middle class who have time and money to worry about the well being of another creature, and the working class who dont, but have to get by n dont really see the point in paying more for the chicken that feeds them and their familys.

I love Trent Reznor. He is a god. But PETA is not a good organization to support, even if you're for animal rights. Their means of communication to relay their message, in my opinion, a very negative one. They seem to produce more exploitation of animal torture than use their financial means to prevent it.
